I was able to clean off all the discoloration on the handles from dirt the leather us rather amazing but the handles the top of the handles are stained but worn away from rubbing, like scuffs you'd find on corner wear. A bit worse than the photos let on on one handle . But the rest of the bag is way better than the photos so it all averages out. The handle issue was eye opening. I never use twillies on my top handles, maybe I should start. A twilly could look cute on this tote and really only one handle is bad enough to need one. Despite the leather being worn the handles are solid. over all its a great tote I can use and if it get s beat up st work, no worries right.;-) I wouldnt purposely beat it up as I love handbags too much.
