Fantastic Posher, these pants arrived promptly and look fabulous in person. The only problem is that they really run bizarrely large--I mean these are a size 23... I'm usually a size 24, sometimes a small 25... but I never thought these would actually be more appropriate for someone who's a size 26 or so. Usually I'd just throw them in a hot wash and hot drying cycle to shrink them to fit... but with coated denim that's not an option if you want them to remain "coated". I already learned that little lesson for myself: the FIRST EVER pair of skinny coated jeans I ever bought were also by Habitual--and were a roomier size 25 than I wanted--so automatically just threw them in the wash without giving it a second thought. Well, now these Habitual skinny jeans fit like a glove--the second skin I was craving for. What I wasn't expecting was that the gorgeous leather-like coating (in this amazing shade of dark teal) was completely stripped off the jeans. I felt like a total moron naturally. Luckily I discovered online you can actually apply that leather-like wax coating yourself in an easy DIY art project--it's a cheap and easy way to essentially turn whatever pair of jeans you want into a pair of leather-like pants in any color imaginable. Seriously--all you need is to go to Michaels (or similar craft-esque store) and pick the acrylic paint in the color of your choice--which is literally an endless aray of colors, I'm going to use "Crafts Mart's Acrylic Paints" which come in 87 colors and that's just one brand of MANY brands--and mix it with 1/3 soft gel gloss. Then you just paint it on your jeans with cheap foam brush. In any event, this is how I will be "fixing" my little laundering coated denim mistake. Thankfully it's a cheap and easy fix--and a fantastic way to revolutionize my denim collection if I want to add more leather-like coated denim pieces to my wardrobe. :-) Thank you for this purchase--wish it fit better. I hope there's a way to shrink this pair of Habitual coated skinnies down 2 sizes or so without ruining them in the process... I foresee a trip to my incredibly skillful tailor in the near future...
