Love Notes

The shirt is even nicer than the pictures, and nicer than I ever could have imagined. Wow. I do not even remember these beautiful shirts on the market! I wonder if selected items are available in only certain areas. I am not sure if my knowledge of the Lauren market, makes me sound shallow or not. It is just that the size, style, and cut of his clothes fit me. When I am not having custom clothes made, his options really fit me well, and the style is very appealing. Ralph Lauren's real last name was Lipchitz, which I gather most people know. So the whole image is a creation. I was born half Jewish, but raised as a (sort of) WASP. Because that was my adoptive mother's family history. And they were American wasp royalty. For some ungodly reason, in 1800, the relatives changed the pilgrim head stones to the largest spire in the cemetery. So when you go to see the pilgrim cemetery, you can see the Cushman spire long before you can see anything else. I do not, and can not, understand why on earth this was important. But as your mother has far more influence in your upbringing, I never felt my dad's life experience. Because I am older, I was raised at a time when mothers were at home, and a job was a charity. EEKS, am I from a different world now. My mother had the fancy New York , and Boston, coming out affair in the social season. After my parents divorced, he married a Jewish woman doctor, with an inheritance larger than the President, but still practiced. My poor mother, who had given up her life, to be the wife, was left to be a socialite and philanthropist. She hated being referred to as a socialite. She had put my dad through Med & law school, and he somehow got more out of the divorce, and she was also the parent to the children. Those were the days. I really learned to understand and support women through my mother. Of course, who would not feel sorry for the mom. So my life revolved around my New England roots. And Ralph Lauren, was designing for my natural habitat. Even if he was not raised like his designs. Life is really how you make(or create) it! So, as I was living the life style he was marketing, I fit right in. I really love love the shirt. THE extra touches, reminded me of camping and skiing, out in Jackson Hole,Wyoming. One of my favorite places, and what I reminisce about when trying to fall asleep. During Covid, I think about it SO often now.It is so beautifully magical all year round. The shirt you sent me is just perfect for there. The style and colors are so much of the beauty there. I almost cried, because I want out of here, and it is nearing the time to be there. I can not thank you enough for such a beautiful memory, that looks as though it just came off the rack. Either someone did not like this, did not fit,or was so meticulous, the shirt is brand new. I could not be happier, and have never seen one like this. I has so many extra details, that do not come with the average line. It must have been more expensive than the average shirt. And his off the rack, cost almost as much as my custom made clothes. I love that he has longer arms, like me, and the neck is my size, and at 6'4, I have a 32-33" jean waist. With broad shoulders, his clothes fit, off the rack. The shirt has found a very happy home. Will find the best of care, and loved,of course. Thank you, so very dearly, Michael
