I’ve always been enamored of the story of Wallis Simpson and King Edward, his abdication of the throne to marry his true love - I mean seriously. Does it get any more romantic than giving up being the King of England for the woman you love? This necklace was designed by Alexis Kirk for the Duchess of Windsor and I have wanted a replica for so long it hurts, but so did the price tag. Seller was very transparent about condition of piece and wear and also that the makers mark and clasp do not match pieces that have been authenticated. But honestly, who cares?
