12ct Early Victorian Antique Diamond and Onyx Memorial Ring, size 6 1/2.

This classic mourning ring is early Victorian, circa 1870. Jewelry from this period is also known as Memorial or remembrance jewelry. This item is handcrafted in 12k yellow gold, has an onyx face and diamond center. The onyx is framed by 12k yellow gold that looks like twisted rope. The ring tested 12kand weighs 2.25 grams or 1.32 dwt. The onyx face of the ring measures 7/8’’x 3/4” The ring has a thin gold band with wider shoulders that meet the above mounting, ring is a size 6 1/2. The ring has a very charming daisy highlighted at its center, composed of rose gold petals and a chunky European .33 round diamond center (approx. 4mm).
