10" from head to tail. 9" tall. Weighs 15 ounces without batteries.
These were made in Japan in the 1950s. Judging by the fact it is dressed like a Scottish stereotype, they were clearly targeted towards westerners. I'm guessing a lot of these were sold to Americans stationed there and sent back home as gifts for kids.
When I first got it I could put two batteries in the 'remote' and one of the eyes would glow red. Kind of scary. Unfortunately the wires are extremely brittle and they detached from the battery compartment. You could solder them back together if you so desire.
The legs and tail and mouth are designed to move so I think if it were working you could press the button and make it walk or sit down.
Even though it isn't working it's still in nice condition and would look great as a display piece or for replacement parts.
