1950s/1960s ILGWU Brocade Polished Cotton Cocktail Dress

Inky black cocktail dress w/ brocade floral motif made by the International Ladies’ Garment Workers Union between 1955 & 1963. Features 2 small accent bows at the waist, & HAS POCKETS! Fully lined. Zips up the back w/ a metal Talon zipper and fastens with 2 hook/eye closures (1 at neck, 1 at waist). CONDITION: Great. A few tiny, faint white marks near the front hem. 2 small faint brown marks on back hem. Marks are about 1/16” in size, & are unnoticeable unless looking for them. The seams on the bottom half of the dress appear to have been taken in at some point to fit smaller hips MEASUREMENTS: Bust: 32” max Waist: 24” max Hips: 32” max Shoulder to Shoulder: 14.5” Shoulder to Hem Length: 40” SIZE: XS/S
