These are three parts of a series that was made by Culver commemorating places and landmarks in the 1960s.
The magnificent 22K gold Culver Glass is commemorative of Hollywood, California and the Chinese Theatre. This highball tumbler is a true Hollywood Regency piece! It is made of clear glass with rich braided bands of 22-karat gold that frame the gold Hollywood design on one side of the tumbler and the depiction of the Chinese Theatre on the back. Each band is an excellent example of Culver's secret process for layering gold upon gold in distinctive textures creating a graceful geometric design that is classic Culver. The front and back of the tumbler are frosted, with scenes of Hollywood and the Chinese Theatre intricately done in gold. The balance of the glass has a textured ripple effect, also distinctively recognizable as Culver. It measures 5-1/2 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter. It is marked both by the sticker reading "22k Gold by Culver Made In U.S.A." and the Culver copyright in gold near the bottom of the glass. Other than very minor wear on the gold, there are no condition issues.
One of the Culver shot glasses features a windmill from Holland, Michigan. The glass is made of clear glass with 22k gold trim, and it is signed "Culver" on the bottom. The glass is in excellent condition with no immediately noticeable flaws. It measures 2.25 inches tall and 1.75 inches in diameter. The California shot glass is identical but has slight wear at the top.
