I have been the only owner and this guitar is the Absolute Best all around acoustic you can get. I am going to a D-35 for my next project and want to put this back out in the world. It’s aged fantastic and the tone is superb. You can’t get a new one to sound like this, it only comes with age and being played. The D-28 covers bluegrass, country, rock, pop and is the perfect songwriters guitar. Heavy on the bass side with balanced mids and highs. The D-28 cuts through the mix in a band setting and carries the weight for solo or duo gigs. I’ve had songwriter pals borrow this for demos and live gigs. It’s an incredibly balanced guitar that just crushes it. Passive under saddle Fishman pickup (9volt battery mount) so you can run into your favorite Di box for live gigs - pair it with a Fishman imaging pedal for killer tone as the D-28 is one of the guitars they used for the microphone imaging.
