🐶💖 All FOUR of our kids 💖🐾 Minkie, Lilly, Claire and Buddy. The little fawn colored Chi is Lilly. Each one has their own "story" 3 of 4 needed immediate medical care. Buddy was the only one that did not but he was a biter. Not anymore. He did not know love from people. It was sad. All are seniors except for Claire, our 1 eyed brown brindle girl. She is so sweet and fun! They are all well cared for and loved. 🐾❤️🐶❤️🐾

lmpasternack @marymw88 I just ordered her a new very pretty light pink retro colorful collar with white. She is my camouflage dog. I have a hard time seeing her amidst the brown furniture inside. These are in the sunroom. 💝🌺 she is such a sweet, gentle and loving 11 pounds of happiness dog! Love her and all of the other babies we have!!! 😊💖🐾❤

pearlbittlebaum Hi!! Thanks for posting hun!! This makes me happy!! I had a full sized white and tan chihuhua that i got when i was in kindergarden and in 20 now!! We lost her in late 2006 due to a terrible auto ammune disease that couldnt be cured😔 Now have the most hillarious, precious red miniature daschund named "Miss Rose" shes my baby!! I'm adopted so I guess adopting dogs was meant to be for me. I grew up with chihuahuas and 1 white German shepherd who I loved so I had a few of them before starting back with the little dogs. I can afford to feed and vet more of them and save more little ones. 🐾❤ Our newest girl Claire had one eye removed but she doesn't care. She is loved and is so so funny! I think she has some doxie in her too. She looks big in the pics but she is only 11 pounds. She is the brindle dog in the other post. I will definitely look at your closet sweetie. 😘 Thanks again and I hope u find something in mine one day. I'm going to be adding more this week.

pearlbittlebaum And my parents had a yellow lab before i was born that also had to have an eye removed!!! She didn't care either because shewas so loved!! My dad wants to get another one!! That dog followed him everywhere and rode with him to work everyday!! She always put her paws around him when riding in his truck like a person!! It was too funny! As a matter of fact my moms childhood chihuhua lived with them for awhile before passing at 13 and rode with him in the truck as well!!! The chihuhua and lab were best friends!! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

katpearl86 I love love love your furbabies! I think it's amazing that you rescued dogs! We also have a rescue dog. A Papillion. Her name is Khloe. She had been so abused when we got her, that she yelped and tinkled if you tried to touch her. Thru lots of love and kind words (it's been about 2 months) Khloe hardly has any tinkle accidents and wags her tail and even comes up to other people besides just my hubby and me. Thank you for rescuing the dogs that you did. And even tho it was so frustrating at times, we wouldn't give anything for Khlioe! And of course our first little love is our baby chihuahua, Bella. Not a rescue but she is our baby! 💗

lmpasternack @scarebare thank you so much. I do whatever I can with some physical limitations. I have my certain duties for my favorite rescue. Lots of publicity and I sponsor a lot of dogs as well. I had cats all my life but my one dog thinks they are something he has to chase and attack. He is my oldest dog-a jack russell. We have 3 of them... before we got in to rescuing. 2 chihuahuas, a Pekingese and a little Heinz 57 as u say. She is our 1 yr old with one eye. She is a hoot!!! All the rest of them r seniors now. I feel like a senior citizen most days so it works out for me. 😱😜😊🐾❤

920designs Oh, he is so like my grand dog Harley. Poor Harley also lives in NC with my daughter, was rescued, he was older than originally thought & had lived a pretty rough couple years. He went through the dryer cycles a few times. Needless to say it's taken Harley a long time to trust any one other than my daughter. But he now lives in a home with a rescued pit bull, who is younger, it took a bit but Harley a eighth of the other dog in size is now very protective of the pit bull. Such an odd couple. I miss them both.

I do know hub & I have Harley & that little stinker will have to sleep under the sheets at the bottom of our bed. He's spoiled, she wouldn't go if family couldn't watch him. She loves him so much, oh we do too.

920designs Oh, baby, I love Chesapeake. Of course we typically stay on MD side, love the bridge. Well we haven't made up our mind. To stay at Va beach or Norfolk or Williamsburg but we will go over the bridge Friday,. Give me ideas for places to stay that are cool a bit further south. But if your free Friday , I'll stop & meet. Got the husband with me but he can go look at something. Think it over driving back Sunday but will have the Harley. We don't know how he is with other of his breed, he has one friend a pit bull. Remember he was abused severely for years. So he has extreme temperament chihuahua. Although she has tamed him over past 2 years. I love adventure. Re message me if you don't think I see your message. We leave not this Friday but next.

Virginia Beach has a brand new Anthropologie store that opened on Halloween if you were interested in lunch and walking it off at their Towne Center, all outdoors. Nice shopping area and great food places. Williamsburg is one of my favorite places in this area to be honest so it depends on if you prefer a more laid back area or a lot of traffic down here on the "southside" of Hampton Roads. I don't get out much anymore because of my pain and other things that keep popping up. My brother in law is in bad shape still, his memory is in and out and can't walk on his own yet or hold his bladder. Sorry. Went off the subject. But, I want to get out, I need to! Omg!!!! If it's ok I would love for my best friend to come along, she needs to socialize more too. She is the kindest person you could meet and the best friend I've ever had, besides my hubby. As far as the baby doggy, my dogs are not good with new dogs.... At all. The rescues each have a history too that makes them unpredictable. If he growled once they would attack him. Anyway, I will do some research on great places to stay around here, from the beach up to Williamsburg k? I'm so excited! I really want to meet you!!!! 👼💞👭😘

920designs I'm at work give, let me know I've always saw the sign towards Hampton area. Is it like a quaint little town with shops bed & breakfasts or day spas? Looking for a bit of everything, and for it to fall in our laps. We found a hotel looked nice on living social for Va beach really inexpensive, but I want some amenities so I'll have to look it up. Then my husband thought Williamsburg, I don't know if Busch gardens is open for Christmas shopping. Well I'll get with you after work. And googling the area.

lmpasternack @920designs Williamsburg is where you want to go then. Virginia Beach on the boardwalk is a ghost town. But Christmas time in Williamsburg is just beautiful!!! Lots of everything you mentioned. But you have to find the right place up there. It's 45 minutes from me. Hampton Roads is what all the towns in this area is called. There is the city of Hampton too so it gets confusing. And we live in chesapeake but we are not on the Chesapeake Bay. It is baffling huh? But that is this area.... I still get lost and have lived here since 97. My hubby was here a year before me because we were just married and dual military. They let me leave a little early but not too early. I was in Groton, CT after he left there but we saw each other every other week or so. Drove most of the time, flew a few times but it was a pain doing that, every time there ended up being delays. It was crazy! But we made the best of it.

920designs Awe that sounds like your WE were exciting. My eldest is a non commissioned officer in the army, he though is in reserves & spends his WE work prepping young guys to be deployed. His job was a financial one. But never has been used that way yet. He works FT as accountant for sallow mae. Now why I say that is his wife is a business consultant & takes work in different cities in the states. She flies out on Monday & back on Thursday night. Or Michael flies out to see her. So they get to see different cities that way. They have been married less then 8 mo but their entire relationship has been like that. She lived on Spain when they really starting dating, & he flew over there. She was teaching English as a second language. She is so accustomed to travel as she did a lot of missionary work her life up until now that she has a husband, and a dog. I militant dog. I feel sorry for that pup, but he sure does listen & behave forichael. Michael gives him a lot of love for it. Well heading home, I'll look into were we are staying & get back to you.

920designs Well we still haven't looked into witch place to go. I figured Va beach would be quiet, yet real pretty. I kind of like the thought of looking at the empty beach, all bundled up. I wonder if restaurants stay open there. But my husband did just say Williamsburg, last night once. Last night was Eagles game not much goes on when Eagles play. Today I have a lot of errands to run, and MD apts. so I'll be in your area not this Friday but next Friday-Sunday. Extract place not sure. But I think kings mill in Williamsburg I saw once, looked too expensive to stay when we had the kids, but we might be able to pull it off now. I'll look at that as well as others. I think it will be a slow time down there, just before the Christmas rush.

lmpasternack @julzarnold well as hard as it might be, you have to use some discipline with all dogs, little dogs will get "little dog syndrome" a lot. I would slowly introduce one good friend with a very calm personality to him, let him get used to her or him and slowly introduce another with a calm personality. No one loud or even laughs loudly. Just my experience with little dogs, they still have to be disciplined even if it's a stern "no" if he gets nasty and growls or tries to bite. He needs to know he is safe, it will take a while because of the abuse, I know because I have 2 that I know had to be abused. The puppy it didn't take as long to get her to come around but my pekingese was aggressive to women except for me, and to kids. I'm the one that saved him though so I assume that's why I was different. I still don't completely trust him with kids but he has gotten very sweet over the years but it took a LONG TIME with him and lots of patience. I give him a ton of love, but really, he was a challenge. I would read up on dog aggressiveness after being abused and see what you can find online. I know he just needs a LOT of extra love and affection, but from others too. Try having the person come bearing little pieces of real chicken. Food is usually a good way to get them to warm up to someone. Also, have a friend walk him a little without allowing him to walk ahead of them. He still needs to know people are in charge so he doesn't get little dog syndrome. That is the worst. I know I repeated it. But Google it, you might notice some signs of that in him. Which could complicate matters. Good luck and I will be praying for you!!! 🙏🐾❤️🐶

leoninus Looks like most of you love purebreds, yellow Labrador Retriever, Chihuahuas, Papillion, German Shepherd, etc.. Remember that it's dedicated breeders who make purebred ownership possible. Health histories, generational pedigree of selected characteristics that make up specific breed type. Purebreds are beloved all around the globe. Breeders should be respected by those who love the breed, whichever or however many different breeds are liked.

lmpasternack @leoninus dear Lisa, do you have some sort of issue with people that rescue dogs? You wrote a note on my friend, @sunnymaybray posting as well about dedicated breeders. I love ALL dogs. I had a Pedigree dog with those papers from a pound that I RESCUED many years ago. I literally just ran across her papers the other day and found out she was a pedigree, she has been gone now since 2003. I did not care one bit that she was, or if she had papers at all. I have a puppy mill Pekingese that was dumped in my neighbor's yard. It feels to me like you seem to dislike us rescue people for some reason and are searching for us just to write about dogs that are purebred. If so, that's fine with me if you opt to do so. My one and only dog from a "dedicated" breeder has had more health problems than any of my other dogs, my mother in law bought him for us, I would not have. He is still very aggressive and has to be on Prozac so he doesn't attack my other dogs. And so you know, this is a fact... Mixed breed dogs have far less health problems. And my chi in this pic is certainly mixed with something and she is healthy as can be, just a bit overweight. My dog with one eye is a beautiful, fun and smart dog. She is a mixed up mutt, the mother was a chi mix as well. She is in another post wearing a black and white hoody with skulls and crossbones. My mini-rescue is full of dogs that would otherwise be dead. So, if that is a problem to you, I certainly have no idea why. But thank you for your input. I'm sure most of my friends will love to know how much you support great breeders. Have a great day.

I am confused as to why the purebred comment about dedicated breeders was written to me as a rescue person. The shelters are full of pure breed dogs that need a loving home. Especially now, the Christmas "puppies" are getting to be a handful so they get dumped in to kill shelters.

gypsyangel Well well, it looks like Lisa's just going around person-to-person page to page trying to started trouble for attention. I've been doing German Shepherd rescue five or 35 years and I can't even count how many AKC dogs I have had in my rescue papers and all and breeders will refuse to take them back if they're already spayed or neutered. I have also had my share in that time of mixed dogs, that have gone on to be some of the best searching rescue dogs I put out there. I'm going to try and be loving and polite about this.... I'm sorry I can't... Lisa you're fucking jackass!! An idiot! Why don't you quit harassing people on their f their posh Mark closets? No one is going looking for you to do this you're coming to everybody and starting problems. Get a life!! @leoninus

lmpasternack @agnesrose @marykat she has been searching rescue people on posh and making comments about pure breed dogs and responsible breeders. To us rescue people it is antagonizing. And she wrote on my friend @sunnymaybray page "I will only ever own a pure breed dog thanks to dedicated breeders" or something to that effect. Sunny has a traumatic brain injury which is also posted on her site, so, why would someone do something like that to someone that was very much an animal advocate and is a dog rescuer as well. Once Sunny replied because she got very upset she was reported by the person that stated the pure breed info. To most people it is easy to let it roll off but Sunny and I are friends and she was devastated. Had I not known the same person wrote comments to her I would not be upset. But I don't like DRAMA and I will not tolerate someone trying to push buttons. @gypsyangel said it perfectly that she has too much time on her hands. Or, maybe she is a breeder. Idk. But I still do not see the need to search out the word RESCUE. obviously what is being done. Yes, I did write Poshmark.

lmpasternack @gypsyangel nothing happened to the instigator but Sunny is not reinstated. She has to do a bunch of stuff she is not going to do. They told her she had been reported before. She said that NEVER happened until this incident. She wasn't able to even recover her pics. Nothing. Really upsets me.

aprils2ndcloset Absolutely adorable! We rescued our big boy Baxter (from an out of state high kill shelter 😥) when he was only 3 months old. He's now 90lbs! We also fostered another rescue dog until he found his forever home, so now we're considering adopting a second fur baby. Baxter is truly like a 'baby' to us too. Your babies are so cute! 💖💕💖

I had one lik the tan&white.she was tan all ovr.had her 14 yrs&she past on july 4th this last yr.she was my baby for so long but i no shes sumwher in heaven walkin around with Jesus.Iv got a 2 yr old which is the 1 on the tshirt.then a chi&pom mixed thes 2 dnt get along at all if im in the room.the chi/pom is rite at 13yo&hes a stud.shouldve had him neutered when he was lil.then i hav a chi mixed tht was born with her arm bent side ways.evidently her mom had so many in her womb tht she didnt hav room to let it grow straight.when i had her spayed the dr told me tht as long as it dnt hurt her tht shel never miss sumin shes never had&he was rite.she gets out in the yard&runs so fast with the youngest chi.she actually took him under her wing when i got him.she is a good mama to him. But anywaz I thank all the pple tht are abl to rescue the ones tht need us the most. GODBLESS!

beckey68 We have 3 rescue doggies and 1 rescue kitty. My son snuck her in under his shirt after a sleep over, good thing he did. She would never have made it much longer outside. It was getting cold and she was so sick. I nursed her back to health and I think she remembers because she won't even go near the door. The other 3 are 2 english bull dogs and a jack/ Chihuahua mix. She is deaf, and the baby. But, we love them all. Oh, we also have a guinea pig....and 2 teenage boys! Some days I think we like the animals more, lol

maggie2007 @lmpasternack do you rescue the pups to be therapy dogs ??? I have an 8 year old Autism and we have been researching "therapy dogs" they are doing wonders for normal IQ kiddos on the spectrum - mine has moderate ASD with normal IQ. That's prob TMI but lmk if you do

lmpasternack @maggie2007 no I do not do therapy dogs. I just work with a local rescue and have gotten 2 from there and 2 were strays. I love all my kids! I thought about therapy work but I have chronic pain and don't have the energy for it. 😞

lmpasternack @chipmunksoledad he is a Pekingese that someone just dumped in our neighbor's 6 foot privacy fenced in yard. Poor guy was a mess back then. We've had him for 5 years now. He was mean and didn't trust people. Now he is a sweetheart baby boy!!!!

jenniferf76 Soo sweet!!! All of my 4 legged babies are rescues. I wouldn't have it any other way. My sister has chi rescues and pekingese too. I have a pit mix who was left behind as a pup when someone moved. She was eating trash and I had to straighten out her digestive system, but she's healthy now. I also have a calico I rescued and I have had many other rescues. I've been bringing strays home since I was around 5 or 6 years old. I'm a total sucker for animals especially those in need.

lmpasternack @jenniferf76 omg me too!!! Strays followed me home all the time. We had 4 I brought home as a kid at one time in my childhood. I would cry and cry until my mom and dad let them stay. So yes, me too. I've always loved animals. More of a dog person but I used to have cats too. But my one dog is actually allergic to them so no more cats for now. My hubby is an animal lover too. Thank God. We are such a great team. 💞👫💞
