As a seller we do understand buyers have to pay for the shipping but seller pay commission+GST+CST+packaging cost which doesn't leave the seller with much to spare. As most of the buyers ain't aware of this so thought of sharing it. Please consider this before making an offer as sellers also have to make a sale as well as be left with something in their pocket to be happy about πŸ˜€πŸ€πŸ·

saraisherry02 You've spoken on behalf of all the sellers. thank you ❀. Every buyer must take note on this!!
Nov 22Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @saraisherry02 had to put it out coz m getting offers of 200-300 even on NWT listings... buyers don't know how much goes out from the seller's sale amount. they feel whatever they offer goes straight into the seller's pocket.

myblueumbrella i wl prefer if they go thru Description, ask relevant questions & then quote a reasonable offer, each & every listing is dear to me, only reason am putting so much effort is that it gets used instead of being stored in the cupboard, sometimes this effort is not seen & that's a let down
Nov 26Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @shopaholic_2nd I agree with you. sellers are taking out pieces from their closet so that they can adorn somebody else's closet rather than staying at one place.
Nov 26Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @renukasagar Renuka, I feel nobody should negotiate that much. if it doesn't work out both the parties should understand and respect and leave the deal there only. I have seen buyers negotiating by INR 5-10 also....so....

myblueumbrella though i appreciate the fact that now we got a good option to swap clothing & that too for cash, but the effort is huge in comparison to tension, sometimes i wonder if i should simply donate the truck load or put in so much effort for small returns, ass on fire to please buyers who treat u like amazon or flipkart LoL

veeaar25 @pratibha18 People still quote 200 for a 750 item and what do they expect from the seller, to go and have Kurkure with the earning.
Dec 05Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @monarayait78 people who have quoted 200/300, have seen their closet and they have sold basics for 800...well they want to buy for 300but sell for 800 πŸ™„ have learnt my lesson and don't negotiate with them and leave the offer.

itashya
itashya @veeaar25 I have had these offers on new expensive dresses and despite of even declining the offers from the same person and mentioning to them separately about mAking decent offer, this continues from the same person. I had to really block that girl. It became so annoying!
Dec 06Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @itashya Hey Itashya, I understand what you saying. one girl made multiple individual offers to me, everyone I countered and she countered.she created bundles and same happened.finally 1 bundle we agreed upon and she never bought. So I guess it's part and parcel and I have had buyers who have been genuinely sweet and understanding about the seller deductions and have raised their offers coz of it.
Dec 06Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @itashya Also, I feel new users do that to test the water. but yess, it's salt and sugar together....we'll have to sieve the salt out πŸ™ƒπŸ€ keep poshing and keep smiling

lavangijoshi10
lavangijoshi10 yea that's Very much true.. same have happened with me as well.. some buyers don't think before making such offers where we are not left with an option except to decline their offer..
Jan 23Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @lavangijoshi10 after soo many months and multiple such listings people still want to buy an item listed at 1100 for 400 or even less! so I have given up, the ones who reasonable offers , I accept else I ignore

leena2211
leena2211 @veeaar25 has poshmark changed the return policy?
Feb 05Reply
leena2211
leena2211 @veeaar25 Is the return policy on poshmark like of amazon or Flipkart, like the buyer can return the parcel it they " just changed their mind" ?
Feb 05Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @leena2211 hey, I am not sure about the change in policy but I have been reading a lot about the returns where the buyer claims that the product doesn't fit them and other such return reason and the return has been accepted by @pm_editor_in a lot returns are happing...which wasn't the case initially!!!
Feb 05Reply
leena2211
leena2211 @veeaar25 i saw a post on poshmark regarding same earlier. Can't find it now. I would rather leave this app than all these things. We already earn such low margins.
Feb 05Reply
myblueumbrella
myblueumbrella @leena2211 there's no other option, outside poshmark unless it's an established thrift store who do reels, one is unable to find buyers no matter how good or branded or unique the clothing is, u can put the pictures of measurement & be safe against returns, let's say u mention waist as 28 then simply take a picture with measurement tape on the garment waist (flat lay)
Feb 06Reply
myblueumbrella
myblueumbrella @veeaar25 yday i sent offers to likers & even sellers (those with sold listings) declined, maybe am a bit sensitive but i find it rude, sending offers to likers is like if u r interested then respond otherwise ignore, declining is rude, unfortunately we as indians lack basic courtesies
Feb 06Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @leena2211 I agree the earnings are low and there's a lot of hassle for the seller in every sense and all goes well and you dispatch the order then there's the return stress!!! and I don't understand what kind of policies do they have which are almost all Pro buyer. that's the reason I am barely active here...if anyone sends an offer worth accepting, I do.
Feb 06Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @shopaholic_2nd I agree declining is rude, that's why I don't decline even the 20% of my listing price offer, I let them expire. let them, I would say.... ignorance is always a bliss!

leena2211 @shopaholic_2nd try oyela. i have been using it for a month now. much convenient and no commission charged
Feb 06Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @leena2211 have heard about oyela from someone who seemed to be a founder of the app and he had messaged on one of my listings. though I am not convinced about it as all the reviews on Google Play seemed to be manipulated or put there by people known to the app founders so didn't download.
Feb 06Reply
leena2211
leena2211 @veeaar25 i had the same doubts at the starting. i have made 3 sales. received my money. maybe they are trying to give poshmark competition.
Feb 06Reply
myblueumbrella
myblueumbrella @leena2211 does it allow returns, that's the problematic part?
Feb 06Reply
leena2211
leena2211 @shopaholic_2nd only if what you send doesn't match picture description of your post.
Feb 06Reply
leena2211
leena2211 @shopaholic_2nd Yes. If we are selling something completely different from what we post, that deserves a refund but getting orders returned just because "it doesn't fit" "i changed my mind". Damn it we hardly earn 100- 200 on one product. I am not stupid to waste my time and money on tantrums
Feb 06Reply
myblueumbrella
myblueumbrella @leena2211 but then this oye la also specifies two days return albeit with video proof, & pm clearly says all sales are final, yes commission is on the higher side, i usually ask buyers to repeatedly check product description so that it's not a impulse buy, yes two cases were opened against me but before shipping i always take additional pictures so those were refused touchewood, & good that there are two different apps now, so thrift is growing πŸ’—
Feb 06Reply
leena2211
leena2211 @shopaholic_2nd i am actually confused about it because some people are saying that poshmark now accepts all returns . if that's not the case it would be so convenient to use both apps
Feb 06Reply
myblueumbrella
myblueumbrella @leena2211 because most are new to this app & as long as product description, pictures, measurements are taken care of & also if one double checks if buyer is not doing an impluse purchase then usually they wl refuse returns touchewood

hautesteals
hautesteals @shopaholic_2nd Haha this hits a sore spot with me! The amount of time that goes into taking pictures, listing, and then negotiating and receiving perhaps 100 bucks only on top of that all the time that goes into printing the shipping label and packing the items - I’m wondering if it’s really worth it at all? Should I donate the items or just let them live in my closet rent free?!? Poshmark feels like an unpaid full time job now πŸ₯²
Feb 13Reply
hautesteals
hautesteals @veeaar25 Sorry to butt in, but I had to share my experience that left me perplexed. There is this account that gave me the same offer about FOUR times and I had accepted it all four times thinking it could be an issue from their end however no communication whatsoever and then I receive the same offer for the FIFTH time AGAIN - I felt bad but I had to block the account/user. Did not understand the modus operandi of doing this repeatedly. I get it once or twice, but repeatedly?!?!

myblueumbrella @weezy_666 yup i once made a sale where i hand washed the sweater in a hectic schedule & still got 4 star rtng LoL & around 150 bucks, on another occassion i almost got a back pain when i had to wash clothing clean up the shoes & pack them in a big amazon box & buyer wasn't much happy as shoes were a bit tight (& i did mention this beforehand), i got only thousand bucks for three pairs of shoes & three kurtas (all branded & new), some learningβ˜ΊοΈπŸ™„

sthitipragnya Thank you for this I was so confused myself on this I’m new to Posh and I am very confused about bundle additions !!! πŸ™ˆ this definitely was helpful
Apr 05Reply
myblueumbrella
myblueumbrella @veeaar25 adding to a bundle is a complicated step, i had to google & understand, for sure, this is done to grab attention, while the best way to get a sale is to repeatedly share to poshmark feed, one fellow posher was literally forcing me to buy, probably they assume posh ambassadors to be posh buyers, as if buyers harrassing me to sell branded tagged for sarojini nagar price wasn't enoughπŸ˜‚
Apr 07Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @shopaholic_2nd yes, I can understand that less than 50% mindset that most of the buyers have here. touchwood, all my buyers till now have been good....but I have had inquires for bare minimum. maybe Poshmark is pushing this bundle feature now to new Poshers coz yes i also had to Google to find out how to share to bundle πŸ˜ƒπŸ€

Apr 13Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @shabinas hey ..yes I have heard from a lot of female Poshers here that men ask them to wear and share images....so asa that kind of demand comes report and block and share the profile with everyone so that they can be saved from such an experience. πŸ‘πŸ€πŸ™ƒ sadly people can't be restricted so there will always be a mixed basket.
Apr 14Reply
shabinas
shabinas @veeaar25 sorry I maybe different I don’t believe in shaming any buyer by posting screenshot of their account it’s ok if we can’t give product for that price just we can decline or if someone offering it again and again then just block them but yes I support sharing those man’s account who are just trying to get ladies pictures πŸ™Œ
Apr 14Reply
veeaar25
veeaar25 @shabinas yes...thats what I meant, sharing profiles like that man's as that helps other Poshers to be aware. we as a community have helped many here by sharing fake profiles... πŸ™ƒ
