Egyptian Silver Bangle with Bells, Pre-1967. A very fine handmade bracelet made more beautiful by its patina of wear. Highly detailed with silver wire coiling, faceted end caps and bells strewn along a silver wire suspended from a heavier silver band. Band is divided into 6 sections, each with 2 bells. The bells make a delightful sound, like birdsong! Band is hallmarked with 3 stamps indicating it was made/assayed in Cairo, between 1965 - 67 and is of at least 900 silver (sterling being 925). As is common with Egyptian silver of this era, chances are good that it is actually more pure than sterling due to it's absolute lack of magnetism and fragile malleability (hence, its inherent distressed appearance and charm). It has been left in its vintage condition, but will shine up nicely if a more polished look is preferred.
