S.W.S. of London Memento Mori Enamel on Brass Vintage style Skull Ring Unisex U.S. Size 9 Beautifully created by an artist named Francois Nordmann (Atlanta Born, now living and operating in the United Kingdom) Memento Mori is a term used in reminder of one's own Mortality, as well as to describe "Mourning Jewelry" which most people associate with the Victorian era. This Ring was a lucky happenstance I came across, and just couldn't leave it behind. I knew there had to be a neat story behind it, even though I knew absolutely nothing when I first saw it other than that it appeared to be Solid Brass and Enamel (which someone couldn't resist testing for gold *see mark on band*- I suppose you could consider the mark a "flaw" but to me, it really adds to the rings character and beauty) Francois creates incredible designs influenced by a wide range of Antique styles, Music, Tattooing, as well as a love for Vintage Mexican design (you'll notice all of these as you look over this ring) Beautiful pre-owned condition. Very minor surface scratches (a bit of developing patina) No enamel chipping- *what you see in the teeth/jaw area is actually made that way.
