jgreen0722 Thank You for the great feedback ! I had a black kitty that looked just like yours. They are so smart. I couldn’t think of life without cats. I grew up in Boulder Co. and every spring when l would walk home there would be cats around trash cans trying to get food. Students from C.U. Should dump them and it broke my heart so bad l resorted to steeling canned cat food for them. Good thing l was never caught. I told myself when l grow up l will rescue them ! And l have for forty years.

I stole cat food in the 90s as there weren’t any programs then that offered any type of aide in my area as it was illegal(?!)to feed strays in the state of GA! Things haven’t changed much but we now get by w/a little help from our friends! I too don’t know what I’d do without them, just glad I can offer continued aide thru my work. They all have TNR,shelter,food now. 5 came home w/me through the years, all highly intelligent sentient beings 💝

sallysingerlbk My friend where I used to work was personally responsible for trap and release of over 35 cats....found homes for a handful that wanted to be house cats. Several vets and organizations here in Sarasota donate their services to spay and neuter for a nominal fee, or exchange for fostering, etc.

wrosegold @sallysingerlbk That’s wonderful! Best friends does the TNR fee for free, all I have to do is do the trapping, driving, drop off and pick up. They all get ear tips — the tribe is beyond feral, I took 3 babies when I first started doing this and found homes for the other new births that survived that I could find. Catching the Moms/females was the most challenging—they’re way more cautious than the males but I almost have them all now 🎊 Thank you so much for helping, you rock!!

I also love The Lange Foundation in LA - I have fostered so many bebes over the years...most of which became foster fails, in other-words, I fell in ❤️ & kept them!! I share my home w/4 big personalities now but there was a time there were 8 — 4 shared my home & 4 took over my clothing shop. My neighbor may be moving and I don’t think he will want to take his almost 20 year old orange tabby....he sort of got him when his ex couldn’t keep him and he’s not really an animal person. meisch1234 I think I counted 7 kitties! So sweet!! I had my Odi/Oduis 18 yrs & would still have him but a cold turned into Pneumonia fast cause he would hunt fearlessly til winter. I miss him so much!

wrosegold @meisch1234 I’m so sorry to hear about your sweetheart. I have rescued 9, they aren’t near the clothing as I have a separate storage I keep all of the items I sell in. I use the funds for over 100+ ferals and strays that I care for, I need to become a non profit soon, as they aren’t getting enough food and after CoV my resources have been somewhat sparse.Anyhow, I know the ache of losing a best friend, my deepest condolences, one day I hope you adopt again! So many many need loving & care!
