ajhammond03 Awww you are so sweet! I am a 2 time survivor of chondrosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. I had 7 surgeries last year and completed 30 rounds of high dose radiation on Valentines Day. I have scans every three months in which I just had done last week and they found a 2 millimeter nodule in my lung. Praying its not malignant but will find that out in a month. Sorry if that's TMI but it does help to talk with someone who understands. I hope you are doing well! :)

nonna122015 Hi and welcome I'm very much a natural health type lol I know a woman who resides in daytona beach who refused chemo and radiation because its awful for you and more often than not causes more tumors later on. No disease can grow in a totally alkalized body, if you completely alkalize your body such as she did it will stop any disease including cancer, it stopped hers. Please read up on how to alkalize your body via diet and supplementation. I have a Facebook page No More Chemo For Childhood Cancer, if you're interested in looking at some of our postings. Please also stay away from parabens in cosmetics etc. as well as antiperspirants, use only all natural deodorants!! Plug in air fresheners need to go too they create xenoestrogens in the body and wreak havoc on our hormones by mimicking estrogen etc . ajhammond03 Wow I'm really feeling the love from you all!! So sweet! I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me I just want to increase awareness for adolescent and young adults battling, especially those with sarcoma like me. Sarcoma affects 1-3 people per 1 million (don't know how I got so lucky) so research is not well funded unfortunately. I was on crutches for about 9 months and had to learn how to walk again. I still limp, and have a ways to go, but its sooo much better. My goal is to walk a 5k in September for sarcoma in Columbus, Ohio :) ❤❤

Eight years ago I was diagnosed with an awful life threatening illness, with no cure. They told me I wouldn't live to see 40, well..... I am 45! So..... may God Bless you and know you have a lot of supporters..... even though you may not know them.... they are there! Power of Prayer, it picked me up when I was recently hospitalized and went into Respiratory failure and as they were about to intubate me, I opened my eyes! He is there in times of need! My kids need there Mom! <3

joannrioux He actually found out a year ago that he has it. Before him and my mom they went to puerto rico and they had to do all kinds of tests before going over seas. Im not 100% sure where it started. I do know hes in remission right now. Hes doing great!!!

My background (ironically) is bone marrow transplant and oncology. I am an oncology certified nurse, but I have decided once I'm well enough to work again I need to get out of oncology. Hits too close to home. Do you have an area of interest? If not, you have plenty of time to decide :)

mcjayne @ajhammond03 I have multiple myeloma and want to hear the same words you have but I know realistically that's probably not going to happen but I never give up hope-I have two daughters I need to watch grow up! Cancer is certainly life changing in so many ways and I have been having some pretty dark days lately but somehow I manage to pull myself up by my boot straps and keep going. ajhammond03 @mcjayne Never EVER give up hope! EVER! Ironically I am an oncology nurse and have taken care of many patients with multiple myeloma and they are doing great. Have you had a bone marrow transplant? You are so right cancer changes your life forever. I am a totally different person now. I view life differently. You have so much to live for. Your children need you. I don't have children and don't know if I ever will but would do anything to have them. If you haven't watched Jimmy Valvano's Espy speech please go to YouTube and watch it. ajhammond03 @jefsweetie I had 7 surgeries last year and completed high dose radiation on valentines day this year. There is so much mold in the Cincinnati air that they said it could very well just be mold. So the plan as of now is to start anti fungal meds and rescan me the end of August. If they are bigger that will be our clue they are tumors and they need to come out. Unfortunately there is no chemo proven to help with Chondrosarcoma. It's all experimental

I have cerebral palsy and people ask me all the time how i deal with it.. I always tell them with God and the best family and greatest best friends in the entire world!! I wouldn't trade my life for the world and always know there are other people out there who have it a lot worse than i do!! Especially some of my friends who have CP have it so much worse than me!! jamismomma @ajhammond03 hey sweet!! I'm praying for you!! You have a very positive attitude which definitely helps in fighting/surviving cancer!! I am a RN too ICU for 5 yrs and Oncology for 3yrs. I also have seen great results with patients that use/eat/drink all organic/natural supplies. You know those cancer cells feed/thrive on sugar and I really think it makes a difference in the cancers response by what is taken in. STAY STRONG AND GORGEOUS!! Ironically, I was a BMT/oncology nurse for 4 years then when I was diagnosed with cancer myself I said it's time to do something else! So I do pediatric surgery and pediatric plastic surgery and love it! I just had 2 tumors taken out of my right lung this past Tuesday. Today was my first day back to work and made my day seeing those cute kids! Have a great day and thanks for the words of encouragement and positive thoughts :)

ajhammond03 @lmfashion No need to get anxious! I was the exact same way when I first started my closet but you will be surprised how easy it is once you get your first sale! I understand the trying to not let your illness define you but it is definitely easier said than done for sure! There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about cancer. I just had 2 tumors taken out of my right lung 2/11. I was not able to work while going through radiation and when I was on crutches for 9 months. I am back to work part-time now which helps keep my mind busy. There will be good days and bad days. We just have to take it one day at a time 😊
