ashleysea206 @psu346 it’s only happened twice in my years of selling on here but now it seems every other account that pops up is trying to scam people. The first time the seller claimed they didn’t purchase a pair of pants but had the pants in their possession, and wanted to return. So someone hacked their account to buy something but didn’t change the address?? 🤔 I’ve heard other sellers say the buyer makes an excuse for return and ships back an empty box. So I refused to accept that return request.

psu346 @ashleysea206 that’s so awful! I’m sorry it happens to you! A buyer once purchased something and then she said she changed her mind so she reported the item as fake..how do you refuse a return? I thought postmark forces you to accept a return and you have no choice?

ashleysea206 @psu346 Recently I sold a brand new jumpsuit & had unzipped/zipped it prior to shipping because the buyer wanted photos of interior tag. Buyer claimed the zipper was “completely broken” when they opened. Said they took to a tailor and the zipper would be $75 to fix. Tracking showedthe package had been delivered 40 minutes prior to this, so clearly they were lying. Posh asked for photos of the damage and the buyer sent a picture of the zipper with a stain? But it was 100% not like that prior.

psu346 @ashleysea206 people are terrible! I am so hesitant in selling on here. Like we don’t make money anyways after all the fees and then you get something like that done to you… makes me rethink selling on here

ashleysea206 @psu346 if they want to return they have to open a case with Poshmark. Poshmark won’t side with the buyer just because they changed their mind. If the item was fake it’s a bit different because posh doesn’t allow sales of fake goods. If you disclosed that you were unsure of authenticity and the buyer knew that, then they shouldn’t allow them to return.

psu346 @ashleysea206 it was a Michael kors purse that she paid 20 bucks for was definitely not fake but they still sided with her. I’m thinking to start looking at the reviews the buyer has before selling to them.

ashleysea206 @psu346 when they open a case for return Poshmark will ask for reasons and photos. The seller is allowed to add information and photos too. I would have added a screenshot of the seller saying they were returning because they didn’t like them.

ashleysea206 @psu346 yeah if a new account buys from me I have been messaging them first to make sure they are a legitimate buyer. And now I’ve started taking video and extra pictures of the entire item, zippers working, etc. I said the same thing though, it’s almost not worth it to sell on here anymore.

ashleysea206 @nymph yeah they are scammers. They have VCA jewelry and designer bags that retail for thousands of dollars… all listed under Poshmark authentication price ($500.) Look at the YSL hat in their closet, there is a “Ceilne” that is supposed to be Celine. Photos straight from their Chinese knockoff website.

ashleysea206 @nymph if you go to purchased items there should be an option for “problem/inquiry.” Not sure it will allow you to cancel that way. But I would email Poshmark support immediately because the scammers will say they already shipped it.

altonfamily @ashleysea206 I think they just do not have the staff to keep up with how many replica listings there are. It is a constant battle. Here is a good one I have a pair of Burberry pants with tags. It got flagged as possible replica and forced me to verify that they are authentic. Why are they not doing this to the scammers. It really is terrible

ashleysea206 @altonfamily they don’t want to pay anyone to moderate, they leave it up to the users. Insane considering half of the users are scam accounts at this point. They could definitely update the app to put accounts on hold for review when they post hundreds of designer listings under $500!

My comment to them was WOW is LV, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s now selling fakes because that is where those items were purchased. No letting them get away with a ridiculous comment

And expensive items under $500. 🚩🚩🚩The amount of people asking about authenticity on that account is mind boggling. Hopefully they were just trying to call the seller out and not genuinely asking.

When will people start realizing a $3000 necklace is not going to sell for $300. Oh someone had the clover Perlee with diamonds retail for slim size is $16,000 wide I think is around $28,000. Had to laugh at that listing under $500

ashleysea206 @amoreroyale her account looks legitimate. She has sold things over $500 so posh authenticated it. I messaged her because she was asking a question on a pair of LP shoes from another seller. I was just warning her that the other seller was a scammer with fake shoes.
