never worn vintage trappers hat. hand craft in Alaska 100% beaver fur. I recently had the hat examined by a furrier here in Anchorage to grantee its authenticity. it is, in fact, real beaver fur. The was purchased by my father in law at the furandivou fur auction( celebratory start of the Idiarod).
