sandymyers2 @brbnkfire the look is because the lighter area is where they reversed the sweatshirt. So the inside is showing outside. The construction has a rough appearance looking sort of sewn or crafted together. In regards to softness it's not a thick sweatshirt material it's medium weight and has give I found that to lend it comfortable. It's not a super soft fuzzy lining though and because of the construction if you were sensitive to tags and such the seams which I did not notice might bother someone else. Lastly it's got two side zippers. So it gives it great style again it never bothered me but it sounds like that might not be in line with your thoughts on comfort. It's really great on I just never wear it and For me it was comfy. Hope that lengthy explanation helps.
