jens_lavishlife @brookehand56 do you know when this bag was originally purchased? any creasing/scratches on the handles, the strap, or leather bottom ? is the inside red fabric faded at all or any stains?

brookehand56 @jennithoma it is vintage pretty much. the bottom is in amazing shape. no creases, scratches, and inside of bag is very nice and clean. no pen marks or stains. it was originally my mother's and she took great care of it and I have done the same. it was gifted to me from her. it is in really good condition and I promise I'm not just telling you that. the only real reason for selling is financial issues for my family.

jens_lavishlife @brookehand56 Thank you for all the information. I really appreciate it. it's beautiful. I'm working on finding out where I can get it fixed. I read on the louis vuitton website that you can send in authentic bags and sometimes they will fix these sort of issues for free bc it's a flaw and not something you could have prevented.

brookehand56 if you google it many places come up and just about all of them are very trustworthy businesses. you may have to ship it out of town but they will fix and. ship right back to you and be as good as new. you will find it under leather repair and show repair shops.

I honestly believe yoú will be pleased if you order. and you will be very happy with the condition of the bag especially, because it's vintage!! well, mid 90s. I was shocked when it was gifted to me in the shape my mom has kept it in. just let me know. you can also get online and look up the date code to see the exact year and month it was made.

jens_lavishlife I called a couple places. The leather repair woman asked me if the leather had been split, which caused the loss of the hardware, or, did the hardware itself fail? She said she could probably fix it but that would mean their would be a different metal piece on that side of the handle. Is that what the person told your husband?

brookehand56 @jennithoma no it did not split. it literally fell off and I could not find the littler bar piece to put it back together. the bag and everything is in really good condition like I previously mentioned. so, what I did when I was calling around was let them know that. somehow the center bar on either side came loose and we looked everywhere for the missing part and could not find it. and now I can't remember where the rest of it is. I guess I hid it from myself.

We have bought serveral of the pieces it is missing and when we get them none of the are right. But, dont get me wrong It definitely could be my measurements!!! LOL.....

jens_lavishlife @brookehand56 It's okay! I understand. The hardware I'm receiving is 3cm wide and 2 cm high. Is that around your measurements? The person said specifically it should work for the Alma pm from the year your mom bought it. She said it can be used with Alma N51131. I don't know if that's your bag's code but I looked up other ones and they look exactly like your bag. What do you think? Do you think it will work?
