The post office has delivered a number of beaten-up, opened, wet packages to my door recently. Unfortunately, many clothes and other items have been ruined or were missing.
When I purchase from you, please put my items into a plastic Ziploc bag before packing them into an envelope or box. Remember:
* Manilla bubble envelopes typically aren't waterproof.
* Priority Mail boxes also aren't waterproof.
* Tissue paper is pointless, gets wet and bleeds onto clothing.
* Use tape on flaps & corners

Sounds like you need to speak to the postmaster instead of blaming the sellers. 🙄

@oceanpoet I do speak with the post office when this happens. But it''s also on sellers to protect items. Paper doesn't protect anything. Thank you, though.

It’s not the postmasters fault if the items are improperly packaged. That’s on YOU as the seller! It’s YOUR fault if the items get damaged in transit due to improper packaging.
It’s always easier to pass the buck but in this case, take some ownership, see where you went wrong and improve upon it.
Just a suggestion but you could start with no eye-rolls. 🤷🏼♀️

@ambabka is 100% correct. It's the seller's job to ensure that the items are protected properly. The PO gets the package to the destination but their sorting process is brutal on improperly protected and packed items.
The seller needs to ensure that the item is well protected from the elements, sorting machines, stacking processes, and the possibility that the postal person might drop it in a puddle.

@cactuscat30 I think it would be helpful to bring this to posh marks attention so they can recommend sellers pack differently. I think most sellers pack with tissue paper and an Usps priority mail box because that’s what posh tells you to do in their seller how to guide. It is impossible for a seller to know what kind of environment someone’s dwelling is, it would be helpful if posh changed their recommendations to prevent items getting ruined in transit, no one wants that!

@almightyhandsy I've emailed Poshmark a number of times about this, as they repeatedly give bad packing advice in emails, on their blog, in their help files, etc. They've never responded or changed anything. It's infuriating.

@ambabka that’s so frustrating! I am sorry to hear that!
