ceretfrance @laurpett9355 Hi I am so sorry I didn't see this message months ago duh?? a size 40 in European is considered a 9 US and I think a 39 is an 8.5 I am currently a 40-39.5 size person and consider myself a true size 9.....US ...personally I think they would fit fine you might even put a insole of light foam in side the boot to make it even more cushy and take would certainly take up the space difference between an 8.5 and 9 foot. The quality of the leather on these boots is not to be seen any more
