The gathered in the front comes down to the smallest part of the waist - giving a more dramatic waist. The back scoops low to just above the panty line. The fabric is cinched at the base of the dip to accentuate the booty area. It does have two very small areas as the end of the train - appears to be from getting stepped on in heels.
