cpsvintage @krislynnscloset I just saw this, someone has obviously hacked my account. I’m not quite sure what to do. I’m not the one sending out those messages. Sorry. And open to advice. I just found this out.

cpsvintage @krislynnscloset it’s not me doing a scam. My account is hacked. If you have any advice I’m all ears. They’ve sent a bunch of messages out on my account so I’m going through trying to Touch base with each person.

krislynnscloset @cpsvintage This happened to me when I was a new seller. FIRST - Get ahold of your bank or credit card company, as they now have your debit or credit card information & will start making fraudulent charges. Also, contact Poshmark immediately and tell them what happened. This is a very common scam on here. They target new sellers and coax them to do a deal on a sale outside of Poshmark.

krislynnscloset @cpsvintage Absolutely! I went through the same thing, so you're not alone. Poshmark says to go by the golden rule of not bringing ANYTHING off of the site. If anyone mentions to email them, etc, to coax you off of the site to do a sale, don't fall for it. I was lucky bc within the hour of it happening to me, my banks fraud department contacted me, saying they have flagged a suspicious transaction. Even though I found out early, it still took me hours to correct.

krislynnscloset @cpsvintage I, like you, was mortified as I also have extensive, good standing on many sales sites, but had been new to selling on Poshmark. I also reached out to others to apologize & state what happened. And yes, DEFINITELY change your password as well!

cpsvintage @krislynnscloset they put a fake email in my account. I just blocked the person I sent the email to, locked my card and changed my password. You think that will work? Someone else said to delete my account. I don’t want to lose my username.

krislynnscloset @cpsvintage I never deleted my account. Contact Poshmark and tell them everything you just told me: about changing your password, contacting the bank, etc. and tell them that you don't want to have to start all over with a brand new account. I think you'll be fine because you covered all your bases. Just make sure you double-check your bank account to ensure no fraudulent charges were made on your account. Call the bank tomorrow and tell them that you'll need a new debit cardbsent out as well.

krislynnscloset @cpsvintage I 100% AGREE! I watch Trilogy Media through YTube & they catch scammers for a living. I wish they'd catch the Poshmark scammers!!! They are so much fun to watch, though. Watching them makes me feel a bit vindicated :-)
