I've had some people cancel in the middle of shipping, some one even lied to Posh and told them that the order I shipped wasn't what they received. That's why I don't sell to anyone who has a empty closet anymore. Other Poshers have listings of scammers to look out for. Just click on shop, and search "scammer". The ladies on here are very helpful.

Case went into review/on NIP ITEMS? Support ok'ed returned money B-4 I even got items back! TRASHED! You can see just 1 in my closet! I went to CEO! I couldn't believe Support took the word of someone on less than a month(looked after the fact) over an era blushed well established CH/that's why I went to our CEO/he stated there R issues they r working on w returns/too many allowed/no reason!! They obviously didn't believe her because they still released the payment, so I went to her page to confront her about it and she blocked me! And from that moment on I said I will never sell to anyone who has a empty closet. It's so frustrating that people would take time out of their day to scam/steal from others 🙄

I sold something awhile ago and I felt like I was being scammed but she honestly didn't know she had to come back and release the payment herself. She thought Poshmark did it. So she eventually released the payment.

missjoe99 @shayml4 Thank you, I will watch out. I usually sell on eBay and Amazon. I'm new to Poshmark. I take pictures of my things before sending it. I had a person on eBay tell me the package was not wrapped properly and it was open. I had taken pictures of the items and told them so. They didn't say anything else. I know if they put in a dispute, I would have won.

missjoe99 @shayml4 I usually don't have any issues. I started selling on Amazon in 2008, I know how to package everything. I sold an entire catalytic converter for a Nissan, as well as my Gazelle Edge. Taking pictures of the item in and out of the package definitely helps.

shayml4 Don't worry @myluna1. When I first started selling on Posh I sold to ppl who have no picture or nothing on their closets. I stopped because one person lied to Poshmark and said the item wasn't what they received, and another person cancelled their order in the middle of shipping.

shayml4 Now that doesn't mean every person without a picture or items in their closet is a scammer because you ask have to watch out for the ppl with a closet full of items too. Some ppl on here steal others pictures and will ship you a box full of newspaper (its happened before)

I started reading the reviews on buyers now because I had a shady buyer. She was accused of cancelling sales and overall bad reviews. She wanted to hold a lot of things. I waited til she received and accepted my items before I sold her anything else. Then I blocked her. I can't trust that.

I had another person lie to PM and tell them that the order I shipped wasn't what they received. ginga69 With my $400 Kenneth cole jacket that I sold for $80! They say never received it! Third or fourth time it happen either. Is the amount of money also add birthday Poshmark does reimburse you although the buyer(scammer) is and also walk away with your merging day. As much trouble as it is for Poshmark I will cancel an order after I see who has purchased it! You're in my closet now that says SOLD I Canceled the order . I have not yet relisted again and blocked the buyer. It's a shame .

The second time was a CC bag that wasn't authentic but leather. She tried to claim it was crap but yet kept it. Now the 3rd Coach bag they are saying they tried to deliver it but couldn't. dimntrg 🙌 I had an unfortunate incident with someone you refer to: lowballed me.Finally budged to the lowest floor of my price. Claimed items r damaged (cut up?! when item was placed on a ziploc bag AND padded envelope)&insists I give her a free item for "inconvenience" & when I didn't, left a poor rating. So i totally relate more to this post! (Oh and all that time, she wouldn't reach out to CS since she probably knows they'll know she's scamming since they do ask for proof of damage). 🙄🍷

Yes I was scammed also I bought a shirt from a closet and the chic never sent it and instead sent me a red dress and then when I told her I never received the shirt all she said was it says it was delivered and then she blocked me. pamthomas1960 @shayml4 I just had a lady cancel her order AFTER I sent it out. I included free gifts like I usually do. I reached out to Poshmark and they refunded my money BUT allowed her to keep the make up for free!!! SMH..I don't get that at all. It only shows someone how to steal and get free items. Jeez...

bmjmatheson Thank you all for the heads up. Had 2 experiences. One Poshmark sided with me & other was a so-so review because the jeans she purchased did not fit. (not my doing or misrepresentation). There are a lot of dishonest people in the world...Karma! How do they rest their head at night?

amwaves @shayml4 Hi! I am new to poshmark, I haven't posted anything yet but I planning on selling a few things. I am so glad that I saw your post! I really want to avoid scammers. I have been reading the comments and I have a few questions. When you take a picture of the item before you ship it, what should that picture look like? Also how do you know if a posher with no listings has bought something on poshmark? Thank so much for posting this!!

shayml4 @amwaves Hi hun and welcome to Poshmark! Sorry I'm late responding, but before I ship to the buyer I get a piece of paper and write the date that I'm shipping the item, I take pictures of the item in its current condition (the inside, outside, the bottom, the front, everything) that way you know the condition you sent the item in.

shayml4 @amwaves I had one person who tried to lie about a bag I sent and said there were marks on it. Because I took pictures of the bag before I sent it in Poshmark agreed with me and released the payment.

shayml4 @amwaves Another way you can stay clear of scammers is by checking a Posher's reviews. I sell to people who have over 5+ reviews

shayml4 @shopcranecreek I had that problem before. I sold a pair of Shoes and the buyer lied and said I sent something else other than shoes. Poshmark eventually released the payment I sent her a msg and asked why would she lie and she blocked me 🙄. That's why I'm extra careful now when I sell something and I always take pictures and post them before I ship

shayml4 @lovetracyy Sorry I'm late lol but, Poshmark will send you an email and notification letting you know your item has been delivered. You can go to your Account, click on My Purchases, click on the item you purchased and if your item is in good condition and you're satisfied with it you select "Accept" to release funds to the seller.

duttykangaroo Wow ive never heard of this or had any problems and ive sold over 550 items on here. I thought if you canceled more then 3 orders your own account would get canceled?

shopmelanieanne @shayml4 hi! I'm new to posh and have made quite a few sales but I'm afraid this might be happening to me also. Two people with nothing in their closet have not accepted and it's almost 4 days. Does posh make sure you get your items back??

shayml4 @melanieanne926 Yes they do. You can also send Posh an email letting them know the situation. They respond quickly and always resolved any problem that I had.
