It looks like it might be older so the indentation along the edge could be worn down some. The buckle looks good and the stitching is consistent. When you get it I would need you to post better pics but I don't know how much time you have

You would have to get the belt cut at a cobbler. It would take too many holes to get you there.

Cutting is an option but it doesn't look as nice on the ends. I just had two belt cut.
