Checking for a good fit.

In geometry, the golden ratio refers to a logarithmic spiral whose growth factor is φ. That is, a golden spiral gets wider (or further from its origin) by a factor of φ for every quarter turn it makes. I think I've been looking at this all wrong, perhaps it's just gold which has been interfering with my plans to buy a nice pair of jeans.
