kate_ef Hi I just have a question! Is there a downside to modeling the apparel? I'm new to Poshmark and was moving toward modeling the clothes, so I'd like to here your reasoning against it so I can avoid any mistakes!

jessicastein11 hi @kate_ef!! that's a good question! i actually don't model for 2 reasons - (1) a lot of times the things I am selling no longer fit me, so if I tried them on and took a photo, it might not accurately showcase the item. and (2) modeling takes effort - you have to put the item on, take a photo, upload, etc.

jessicastein11 @kate_ef and when I would do that, oftentimes the person who asked for the photo did not even acknowledge it and i never heard from them again. I don't get upset that they don't buy - we all change our minds! - but moreso because of the lack of common courtesy - a "thank you but no thanks!"
