The Little Mermaid Burger King glass is rare because: Before the set was released to the public in 1994 it came to light that another food chain was holding the rights to use the Little Mermaid image. Production of this glass was immediately halted. All glasses were ordered to be destroyed, but a few glasses managed to escape the destruction, this is one of those rare survivors.
