1) Image is used as a background for itself to “fill the gaps”
2) Self selected a color that is prominent on the clothing item to fill the gaps. Pros: possibly easier than #1 & is cohesive with the sale item || Cons: If you use this technique (pulling a prominent color from each item) it may take you more time in deciding colors esp if you have difficulty with the color tool. It may also make your feed (where all your items are displayed on your profile) look messy because listings will be different colors. However, your individual items will probably pop more when someone is browsing search. This is a personal preference thing really :)
3) Self selected a color prominent on clothing item to fill gaps (Same as #2 just a diff color)
4) Self selected a color prominent on photo in general (in this case the background). Canva automatically detects colors in your picture that you can then use.
As a note, I did these super quickly & didn’t realize I forgot to crop that bit of white from the upper right hand corner of some of the examples (that’s more of a flaw with this particular picture tho, we got some light in by accident!)
Depending on what background you take your pictures with, these techniques make have varying degrees of effectiveness, I’d have to look at them myself and talk through some options with you to understand what you want & what the easiest way to achieve it would be for you :)
