ahnikx @jleighb58 here is what I did...I purchased a cowboy hat on eBay. First measure your head then decide what color you want then look through all the felt hats. Beaver seems best. You can type in vintage or antique etc. just have them mail it to you without a box because it’s way cheaper. When you get it, push the top out and kind of flatten out the brim. You can tea stain in areas or use whatever for a little dirty look. It worked perfectly! I’ll try to send a photo

ahnikx Plus it cost under 50$. You can find one already distressed too but they can be more expensive, but not nearly as expensive as MP! Lol
