I've been wearing my wallet on a chain for over three decades. When I started having concerns about leaving my phone behind while riding public transportation, I didn't like the look of the lanyards and straps available to keep track of my phone. The logical option was to find a way to attach my phone to a chain the same way my wallet was attached. 21-inch chain. Long enough that most people can talk on their phones without detaching the chain from their beltloop. Long enough for everyone who uses Bluetooth or a wired headset. Security knowing that you can't lay down your phone & walk away from it. Easy way to locate your phone when you don't know which pocket it's in - just follow the chain. Spring-loaded carbiner for easy attaching/detaching. Durable plastic clip works with Android or iPhone cases. Small enough that you can charge your phone without removing the clip. It would be foolish to suggest that I am the first one to think of this, but so far, I haven't seen anyone else wearing their phone on a chain I haven't seen anyone else doing it when I search on the web. Everyone else is doing leashes and straps.
