Moleskin Trousers! For those unfamiliar with moleskin, now would be a great time to rectify that - these have a wonderfully soft hand while being exceptionally hard wearing. Moleskin is a bit like raw denim in that you really have to wear it in and it does show its wear a little bit (you can see my wear in the pictures), but it does not give up its history quite the same way indigo does. These HebTroCo trousers are made by a couple of guys cranking out workwear in a place called Hebden Bridge. Not being English, this sounds made up to me, but the manufacturing is unimpeachable. These things are built to last. These feature the aforementioned excellent moleskin in a navy with depth you need to see to understand, top notch fabrication, a skirted waistband, branded leather patch, buttoned fly, and a shrunken workwear styling. Now, anyone who knows me (my wife) will tell you that I'm a fiend for good pockets. The pocket bag material is spectacular and the left hand pocket has a double pocket bag, which I LOVE. The rear patch pockets, by contrast, are kind of anemic, but they do feature beefy bar tacking. You win some, you lose some. As with almost all things I sell, the trim cut curries no favor with my cyclist thighs and weightlifter wagon, so I feel it is best to move them to some other lucky clothes horse. You've never heard of this brand, but you must trust me when I say it's great stuff. Best for a trim 33, maybe a dad who runs and won't give up the slim fit.
