kathryndawn1959 Hi Sheryl, does the long strap hook onto D rings located on the sides?... or is it meant to attach to the same hardware the handles are attached to? Also do you have the key to the lock?

sheryl4344 @kathryndawn1959 for the West 57th style briefcase, the long strap hooks to the outside of the bag (one handle on each side). The key for the lock is hidden inside the HB tag ornament, I can photo when I return from vacation Sunday if needed. Feel free to ask any addt’l questions.

sheryl4344 @jeannine14 yes, it closes with no problem, is not gouged out as there is at least 2” free clearance space above the top of the laptop and the width is more than sufficient.
