How to read an LV date code!

Louis Vuitton does NOT use serial numbers! These codes inside of every Louis Vuitton item (with VERY few exceptions) made after around 1980 has one, and it simply tells you where/ when the item was made. Just because there is a random code on the item however, does NOT make it authenticate. The code must be correct to the year, make, model, canvas, style/ font, where it was made, and so on. Sometimes this code can be easy to spot, other times it can be well hidden or worn down. Any questions? 😁
