Here I have yet another antique gold pocket watch that I know absolutely nothing about, hence the price. This one is an Illinois pocket watch. These pretty old watches were made in Springfield Illinois in the early 1900s. This one might be gold, gold filled or gold plate. I have no idea but it looks like gold. Although I can’t seem to figure out how to set it, I’m sure it’s me, I’ve had it running for almost 24 hours and it seems to be keeping good time. I also can’t get the back open to show you the movement and I don’t want to force it. I’ll leave that up to the buyer. It’s in pretty good shape, as you can see there’s a scripted monogram on the front. Again, these normally go for hundreds but I just don’t know anything about it.
