samdelox3 @chemonurse what else could you put into a chemo package? I have that one wig, I have a few scarfs, I think I have one hat too . I know when my Pop had cancer he got a little basket with a like a Chapstick and a book and book light I forget what else was in the basket

chemonurse Anything. Patients are very appreciative. They are so afraid at first but end up being the bravest, inspiring people. The stuff you mentioned is perfect. Sometimes I have Chapstick, cards, pens, notepads, toothbrush/paste, gum. A personal note or prayer is always good medicine. Thank you for even thinking about it. I'm sorry to hear abt ur dad. My mom has been going through treatments for 5 yrs. I've been doing cancer nursing for 20. It's tough on the family too. God bless.

bethanynicole12 I just saw this and it really touches me that you do this. My mom died when I was 14 from melanoma and I know how happy it made her when people like you showed they cared. I'm going to buy some things you can give to your patients and put it the package with your shoes. Is there anything in particular I need to buy?

chemonurse Sorry abt ur mom. It's tough. Little things make such an impact. I make new pt bags with tissues, diaper wipes,hand sanitizer, soft toothbrushes/paste, lotion, playing cards, caps, hats, scarves, wraps, blankets, trinkets, crosses, pens, handmade items, personal notes or cards of encouragement. chemonurse Ah thanks. God bless you and your husband. It's tough. Keep your spirits up and laugh. My mom has stage IV colon. She's been doing chemo for 5 years. I don't know how she does it. Patients are the bravest people I know. I love my job because of them. I'm praying for your husband & family.

chemonurse Yes. I'm sorry. After 6 years of fighting cancer my mother is losing her battle. I have been caring for her with hospice and I'm afraid everything else has just been on hold. I am still interested in ur amazing gifts and also many items in ur closet.
