skylarkvintage @stylish0305 One of the biggest things you can do is share, share, share. Share your items as much as possible and share others as well. Both get you exposure. Also follow as many folks as you can, that also increases your exposure. If you have any other questions let me know! 😉🌺

skylarkvintage @stylish0305 One other thing... just shared your closet. Your photos look great, but some of your listings have very generic titles. Make all of them as descriptive as possible: brand, color, type of material, style, etc. Lots of specific adjectives, i.e. Leopard Animal Print instead of Animal Print. It helps them pull up in more searches.

farmgirl76 Pretty new to this, quick question. Why are some listings NOT FOR SALE? I understand when it's just an info post but some people have a closet full of items that are all listed as NOT FOR SALE 🤷🏻‍♀️

skylarkvintage @farmgirl76 Welcome!!! That's a great question. There are a number of reasons why they could be listed that way. 1. They're items that are coming to their closet but not yet available for sale. 2. They're items that were listed but sold on another platform and they want to keep the total number of listings in their closet up. 3. It could be a boutique item that's temporarily sold out and they'll be getting more inventory.

skylarkvintage @glamorousboho Thanks! Yes, you have to share in the order you want things listed. There's no other way to organize it. It's kind of a pain at first, but the more you share the better your chances someone will see your listings, so it has an upside. I sometimes shuffle the order of each category, but try to keep it all organized by category. It's a little OCD! 🌸💖😊

lrd1083 Question: is there a way to change your posh name? When i first started i didn't realize that my name would be what is posted as my store/closet name and now i can't figure out how to change it to be more easily recognizable!

skylarkvintage @lrd1083 Hi! My understanding is that it can be done, but you would have to contact Poshmark support, they'd review your request and accept of deny. The general policy is the name you pick is permanent, but I've heard of folks getting it changed. it seems to take a little time if they do approve it. It's always worth trying. Hope that helped. :-)

Sharing is pretty easy… you hit the little icon on a listing that looks like a rectangle with arrows to share each listing individually - works for your listings or sharing other Posher’s listings. To do things faster sharing your closet, hit the wrench/tool icon towards the top of your closet and then Share to Followers or Share to a Party, select all the listings you want to share then it will do them for you all at once. Hope that made sense and was helpful. 😊💖🌸

skylarkvintage @msglatopa13 Never email buyers. 1. Doing/taking business off Poshmark instead of completing a sale on the site is a big No-no & against Posh policy. You could have your closet shut down if they find out. 2. Most importantly, anyone trying to take sales off Posh and sending email addresses or offering extra money to buy quickly are almost always scammers. Protect yourself and nicely say no. I’ll even block them if they seem super sketchy. Always best to ignore them.

skylarkvintage @msglatopa13 Hi! It’s just how the system is set up. If you offer a discount you also have to discount shipping. It’s like that for everyone, so when you price your items price them a little higher than you’re willing to sell them for so you have the discount amounts already part of your listing price and you don’t have to sell for less than you want. You have to expect to haggle in all your sales so price accordingly. 😉💖

skylarkvintage @msglatopa13 You’re paying the shipping discount, that’s why you have to adjust your pricing up to account for any discounts you give, be it shipping or just lowering the price. It’s basically cost of doing business. The system does automatically adjust and show you what your earnings are if you discount, which is nice so you can sometimes adjust how much you want to discount or how much of the shipping you want to cover and still make sure you’re earning profit. 👍☺️

skylarkvintage @msglatopa13 They’re scammers and you can go to their closet and report them to posh for trying to do off site transactions and then block them. Sometimes you’ll get a lot of them, other times not many. Best to report and then block to weed them out when you can.
