4loveandfun Hey love! I read you story on your Meet the Posher. I am so sorry this has happened to you. Do you intend to list items to sell to raise money for your cause? Was it just this July you set up your PM account?

rebeccaf612 @4loveandfun yes, I plan to list quite a few pieces in the next few days. I also have only been on Poshmark since May or June, I think. The house burned down along with my at home business on February 2nd this year. Thank you for asking and please check back often. 🌹💐

rebeccaf612 @sweetandsourbtq thank you so much for your kind words. Not giving up and hard work will be my way of life moving forward. I was told I wouldn’t succeed. I am more determined than ever to succeed and help as many adults and children as humanly possible. Keep an eye out for BeccaLu and BeccaLu Foundation. I am hoping to become a familiar name in the survival community.

inspirejoy Hi Rebecca, my name is Beth and I came across your closet in my travels, where I read your story and it truly broke my heart. The pics with your beautiful pup bring tears! I so, so glad you and he were able to get out ok! I saw in the comments that you were an EMT/firefighter, and after 10 yrs recovering from a terrible accident, I am finally getting certified as an EMT--something I have wanted since I was 14!

inspirejoy I also saw that you help children dealing with trauma and the dolls you make are so creative and such an amazing gesture, I know they help so much! To see you concerned with losing items for the kids after such a devastating personal loss is wonderful, and not a common thing in this world, it truly touches my heart! You seem like such a beautiful person, inside and out. I'm not sure if you are still in need of kids items, but I'd really like to help if I can.

inspirejoy I have a bunch of stuffed animals and other supplies that I'd love to send if it would help in any way. Also, when I saw this I immediately said a prayer for you, but if there is anything I can do to help you, I'd love to do that as well. Even if you just need to talk, I know I'm just a stranger but I'm always here to listen! I'm sorry for taking up all this comment space haha, what I wanted to say couldn't really be condensed! You will be in my prayers!❤❤

rebeccaf612 @inspirejoy Thank you so much for stopping by and taking such a personal interest in what I do. Reading your messages touched my heart in a way that can't be explained. Like you said, the tears started flowing.

rebeccaf612 Tonight, the clock is being watched and the thoughts of every step I made during the fire are in the forefront of my mind. Ticking away as to where I was and what I was doing along the way to safety and eventually to the beginning of recovering. With that said, on Instagram tonight I instead decided to post about Vanessa Bryant's new fundraiser for the families of those lives lost in the helicopter accident.

rebeccaf612 Mamba On Three Fund has its own website for anyone wanting to help not only the families directly affected by the deaths of loved ones but also the girls left without a basketball leader and a few teammates whom I am sure were loved dearly. As far as my organization helping children and adults facing disasters and traumatic situations, YES PLEASE!.

rebeccaf612 Anything you would like to donate would be going directly to the kids. I set up backpacks for infants a few days old all the way up to teenagers. I put enough clothing for three days and two nights, pj's, socks, flip flops, toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and definitely games, little toys and a stuffed animal for each bag. I have photos of the first set I made after the fire.

rebeccaf612 The dolls I make are for children in hospitals, ERs, ambulances, domestic violence shelters, etc. The are a different part of the business. I use fabric from thrift stores, recycled cute scrubs, large t-shirts, etc. I am always looking for smaller pieces of fabric that would be the size of a large scrub top. That size will make a large doll. I use all kinds of t-shirts that I shred for the hair.

rebeccaf612 Anyway, thank you for asking about all of this. It is unfortunate that the homeowners' insurance will not cover anything that I lost and it was everything I owned. The list is over 30 pages long of single lined items. It makes me so sad but only for a short time. Then I realize how many other people and animals need my help. Thank you so much! Let me know if you want my address. Don't feel obligated though, please.

inspirejoy @rebeccaf612 Oh my gosh, you are just incredible!! I hope you know what a rare gem you are in a world of pebbles!😍 I know that feeling all too well of going over a traumatic event moment by moment, trying to think what you could have done differently and all the feelings come rushing back..before you know it, your heart starts racing and before you know it you're right back there in that moment..sometimes I find it therapeutic to talk about it, other time I just want to get as far away as I can.

inspirejoy @rebeccaf612 I you ever want to talk more about it, know I can't understand your particular situation, but I can always listen, and I care more than you know. Have you ever thought if writing a book of your experiences? The way you write is truly captivating. I definitely have some things that I would love to send you, for yourself and for the people that you help!

inspirejoy @rebeccaf612 Your situation has truly touched my heart--it's hard to explain, but sometimes you just cross paths with someone that you feel has come into your life for a reason, and I feel that about you. I saw that you made a bundle in my closet which I so appreciate, and if it's ok with you I would love to just send you those items as my gift to you! Poshmark oddly won't let me send you my email, so maybe if you could leave your address on the bundle comments?
