kbluepearl Hi-sorry delayed reply! I added close-up pics, may help discern wear. RE thinning: this style slightly heavier than other JBrand styles of old, still not real thick to begin with. The knees have barely perceptible softer texture that I'd associate with wear and could be slightly thinner than rest of pant leg - I say "could be" since hard to tell so erring on conservative side. Nothing sheer, frayed, close to popping a hole. Except: Bottom hem, see pics, couple areas of fraying. Hope that helps.
