It is inspired by a vintage swing jacket. This style features side vents for generous movement and a beautiful drape. The Helen collar is meant to be more architectural; however, it also has two snaps at the top of the collar to secure the lapel if desired. The sleeves are in keeping with a typical dolman or batwing sleeve. In other words, the sleeves are cut wide at the shoulder with deep arm holes that leads to a more tapered fit towards the wrist. Most Helen jackets have two pockets that have been expertly pattern matched with the design of the quilt. This style also features French seams, which allows for wearing the jacket inside out.
