itsallfabulous great looking piece, is it hallmarked sterling or 925?

knovadust @itsallfabulous hallmark refers to the stamp indicating purity. Stirling is 925 purity. I will check to see if this one has it. silver comes in large sheets that will have a hallmark somewhere on it but once the sheet is cut into the required pieces for shaping they loose the stamp and I do not restamp things. I will check one I get home.

itsallfabulous @knovadust Thanks! Usually when an artesian works on or finishes a piece it gets stamped with a hallmark denoting if either sterling or 925 if indeed it is sterling. and sometimes the artist's own hallmark too. I know older N.A. made items don't always have any hallmark as denoting an item as sterling because it was not required back then.(1960s) I was pretty certain items coming into the US today had to be marked as such on each item if they are indeed 925.
