Lesley Evers, Little Navy Dress, elegant lace cocktail dress, size M

This lace cocktail dress, designed and made in Oakland by California designer Lesley Evers, has a little retro Audrey Hepburn vibe. Comprised of a spaghetti strap slip worn under a bateau-neck lace shift, nicely shaped, with a slight stretch, everything about this dress is flattering and timelessly elegant. I wore it to a dressy occasion and felt confident and happy. The dress looks great with heels or pretty flats. It is comfortable and moves well for dancing and running around behind the scenes of a party. When I wore it, I felt neither like I was trying to look like my teenage kids or like my senior-citizen mom. (Although, honestly both generations expressed interest in borrowing this dress...so if you are young or senior, I would say that this dress can be for you!)
