MISS BALMAIN Vintage French Floral Silk Scarf 30” MINT

On offer, a true vintage beauty! This mint condition MISS BALMAIN silk foulard is a rare piece. I almost NEVER say that…it seems “rare” is a bit over used by some. Not here! I say rare, because this silk was made exclusively for ONE department store; the legendary Art Deco BULLOCK’S WILSHIRE BOUTIQUE in downtown Los Angeles, shuttered by new owners MACYS in 1993. Based on the care tag, unique colorway of pistachio & creamy pink & the BALMAIN logo font, I’m fairly certain this one dates from the mid 1960’s. This one has a very luxe pedigree…vintage Miss BALMAIN silks in mint condition are a bit hard to find, Bullock’s was a giant of luxury retail from an LA that no longer exists, refined French silk, exquisite hand sewn edges… If you appreciate a fine vintage haute accessory…this one is all aces!
