Howdy all! This week, a decidedly retro LANCEL in a jeweltone pallet of ruby & sapphire. It’s a luxe French house founded in 1876 & beloved for their quality leather goods. I like this one when I don’t need a fussy look…just fun! Last week was a favorite HERMÈS called “New Springs”. New bc it’s a remix of a classic silk the house first issued in the 1970s. This one is a goodie in lilacs, amethyst & turquoise. As we head into fall, I’m digging out some old favorites that I haven’t worn in months! PRIOR: A good Alexander McQueen Tall Story tote bag paired w a Dickies Ike coat…both in Forest Green. A mash-up in the best way! Prior: I’m back to reality & home after a wonderful couple of weeks away! The Scarf of the week @Top_of_the_Mark is a terrific find from the Porto Portese flea market in Rome. I dug thru a pile of fun accessories & came away with a couple of worry free beauties. Pink never hurt a fella…& heaven knows I’m not afraid of color! 😎 PRIOR: So, okay friends, I know the scarf of the week looks like a bag of the week, but the vintage silk leopard FENDI neckerchief tied to the mini BALMAIN tote serves to illustrate how even a small silk accessory can take a nice look & amp it up a notch! Yes a scarf can be your focal or it can emphasize a vibe in a refined, subtle way….sometimes a challenge to get it right…but when you do…🤓 Prior: A twofer HERMÈS COURRONES…one in blue & gold, the other crimson. jammie819 Good Morning!!!! I know I said it before, but I wouldn't make it out of the house if I had to choose just one of these beauties to accent my outfit for the day. But then, it is then that you have to assemble your outfit around the scarf. no? Either way, you definitely have that special gift! So far, if I had to choose my favorite look so far, it's the Vera. t0tm @jammie819 Lol! 🌞 Good morning! 90% of the time I’m in a plain white tee & jeans...so I just grab a scarf & go. I wish I could jazz up the pics with some fancy tying techniques but the reality is I’m pretty basic until I add a scarf... always at the neck. Maybe that’s why I have so many...it’s really the main way I add any personality to my look.

jammie819 @top_of_the_mark In my opinion, Schiaparelli is the fashion designer icon that every collector must have one piece in their collection! There was an amazing show at the Philadelphia Art Museum some years back. Was Spectacular. She is the only Designer I do not have in my vintage signed costume jewelry collection. When I finally started collecting "designer signed" pieces, the prices were way too high, even on the smaller brooches! One day... Your scarf is truly beautiful.

It’s interesting that Schiaparelli has once again become essential...I see celebs wearing it all the time now when they want to get noticed.
