MODERN VICE Golden Bolt Black Boot – Size 8 (EUR 38)

Custom-built Modern Vice Golden Bolt David Bowie Boots. Size US 8 / EUR 38. I waited almost two years for these boots to be built by Modern Vice and I'm sad to let them go. By the time they finally got to me my feet had grown a half size and these were too tight. I've worn them a few times, they're in excellent condition, but they're just not comfortable. The leather is very soft and supple, with some creases at the toe after a few wears. No scuffs or rips. These were made custom with the original Bolt pattern (pre-2014), so the shaft circumference is narrower (10") for a sleeker, more fitted look. This is the look of the boots on the models on the Modern Vice website. If you order the current pattern the shaft circumference is 11", which gaps if you have narrower ankles. The factory over-applied the black polish to the left boot. The photos show a lighter patch on the left toe where the polish has cracked to reveal lighter leather underneath. A good cobbler can remove and reapply the polish to fix the cracking.
