alyssamottas I mean, it's just product placement right now.....nothing is painted or jazzed up. and there's drawers and 2 shelves so ALL that stuff can go away, off the top.

alyssamottas I gave her some makeup, some brushes, some trinket dishes i'll just have to paint, a vase with "hydrangeas" I made, a picture of the two of us from my wedding (she was my mini me), but I like it. Hubby says it looks like it's too mudh.

alyssamottas @lisamaried I just sat down for the first time since dinner (spent ALL night making lotion!!! I had 5 orders but they all each got multiple products, my arms are tired!!). anywho, I just saw my package shipped YAY!!! SO excited!! Also exciting, putting an offer on a house then they counter then we accept then we go get the house inspected on Wednesday next week then we could be HOMEOWNERS!! and moving in like 2 months!!

alyssamottas Oh my where do I start?? YES!! Our first house!! Who knew you had to pay for all this STUPID stuff!! We really didn't go into the week thinking we'd be doing this right now HA!! I LOVE THE HOUSE!!! It's in Baltimore, MD and we've been in Richmond FOREVER!! So excited, I don't really even realize it's happening cuz it's all so fast. so let's go!! let's get it done and get up there!!! then i can get tired haha

alyssamottas I started making my own skincare a few months before my wedding last year. I have worked in cosmetics and/or skincare pretty much forever. I started paying more attention to what's in everything. It's pretty weird and bad. I can make a face cream with 3 products that does the SAME EXACT THING as one I sold for $99. It's crazy. Not my business though. I'd love it to be. Love a lot of things to be my own business!! like making PAPER HYDRANGEAS!!! Yep, they're fake.

alyssamottas Look me up on FB and I have more pics from the wedding....we got over 2000 taken haha!!!! you're so sweet! i snagged a good one for sure. We've been together almost 16 years. since we were dumb kids getting sloshed at the bar haha!! I told him if we didn't get married before I turned 40 yrs. old then let's not do it, I don't wanna be in a wedding dress in my 40s HA! that's just me!!

I have a friend who lives there and she's the same way ... up until the wee hours of the morning lolol You should definitely see some of your things you make on Posh! Right now the lotions aren't permitted but your other things are ! Go for it!

lisamaried @alyssamottas - I know what you mean about wishing something was your real job. I wish Posh was my only job ! I've worked in law firms all of my working life and was laid off after 33 years at my last firm. I decided to make the break from law firms and now I'm working in a totally different environment ... at a Shipbuilding & Fabrication company ... so instead of being surrounded by stuffed shirts I'm now surrounded by guys in orange shirts and hard hats LOL!

alyssamottas So I took a break to find myself creatively again, I'm currently still on that break with full support of my husband. now I'm ready to do anything, I don't care what as long as the people are nice!! life's too short to spend it miserable!!

lisamaried @alyssamottas you’ve got that right! I found out the hard way that loyalty, hard work, excellent reviews ...they don’t mean squat when it comes to their bottom line of making money. The younger management enters the picture and has no idea what you’re about. I was grandfathered in for 5-weeks vacation and making great money... now I’m back down to 2 weeks vacation making much less. It was very hurtful...like a divorce.

alyssamottas @lisamaried I know, I mean that was my whole career. Because with me, at some point with each of these huge corporate (even two Mom & Pop) shops I get tired of their excuses. So I leave. But I'd always end up in the same field, selling. NOT ANYMORE!!

alyssamottas I'm going to be a receptionist at a really cool, fun (friends, well, acquaintances. work there) hair salon where everyone is genuinely nice. I'm gonna answer phones and wash hair and laundrey and make maybe not so much, but there's no stress and I have my Cosmetology licence so for once in my life, no shame I guess? I know I can do that, and make more, but it isn't what I want.

styl1stcloset @alyssamottas you should totally start!!! also - word from a fellow artisan make sure if you’re doing resin pours (the rage right now) you’re wearing a mask and in ventilated room! had like 15 artists or more start coming down with severe symptoms bc they weren’t covering face or hands or ventilating. there’s a new video on youtube about how this woman basically just followed what she say in diy videos and came down with nmonia and cancer ;((
