I am an artist, making mosaics. I'm on Posh to help pay the rent for my studio. Also I love going to antique stores and thrift stores. I have a loving and supportive husband, two wonderful grown up kids, fantastic daughter-in-law and 2 beautiful grandsons. And a dog, Marvin! My daughter Sophie is my occasional model. Jess, thank you so much. I just love all kinds of art. I also love clothes and putting together different textures and colors to make an outfit special. I recently got a sewing machine so I am having fun experimenting with it. I also enjoy decoupage with vintage images. But, I must say again how beautiful your work is.

@jessregelson oh! Sorry! My name is Jess too!! Lol he's beautiful, I had a yellow lab but he literally just passed away. So sad.. But he was such an amazing dog, labs are so wonderful, they're just the best in every way! I think he might be part hound? Coon hound maybe because my friend has half lab and half coon hound and he looks EXACTLY like ur dog but with brown feet! So cute!

@jsantillo Hello, Jess! My heart aches for you. We had a previous Dog named Otto who was also a lab mix. He died at twelve, and it was over 2 years before we could even consider having another pup in our lives. But eventually my son said to me, "Mom, we are dog people. We have to get another dog." And he was right. Getting Marvin brought back a certain kind of happiness to our lives, even though we will always miss Otto. He was one in a million. I know you are still feeling this loss keenly. I feel for you.

@jessregelson yes I know!! I a, so sorry to hear about Otto :-( I am in that same position right now. I love animals more than people so not having an animal kills me and I'm not happy without one period. But I would feel so guilty getting another one so soon after Skipper (14years old) passed, it's been almost 2 months now, and I don't want him to feel like I am getting another dog to take his place or anything. But I hate not having him come to the door when I get home wagging his tail, or coming and laying next to the couch before we went to bed. It's like a big chunk of my life is missing. And we just got his ashes 2 days ago and it's making it so much worse!!!! Ugh! My eyes are tearing up just writing this! It rly is a hard position when you care for an animal so much who has passed.

@jsantillo I hear you, Jess. I wouldn't want to live in a world without dogs. And I understand how your heart is aching with loss. Nothing to donut go through the grieving. Which is a testament to that special love you shared. As to when you might consider getting a dog in the future, I am sure you will figure that out. All I would say is, each companion has their own special ways, and to love again does not dishonor the one who has passed. But you'll figure it out. I wish you courage and strength as you cope with your loss, dear.

I'm an artist as well and have a love for mosaics. I'm a size 8 shoes amd cloths and since my daughter did my hair with a flash of purple I haven't worn anything but purple or black. I strain her patience a little with my requests to model, but she has been very accommodating overall. The other young woman in the photos is my brazilian daughter-in-law, who will soon be moving here with my grandson!! I can't wait!

My daughter started being my model at age 6months and got tired of it in her teens. she was 13 when she did her first runway show and now doesn't want any part of it, but I let her do her thing and love her anyway.

That is so cool! I've taught 1st - 5th (mostly 2nd and fifth), but fifth is my favorite!! I love the way their minds work! And a bonus for me is that most of them get my humor by this age!! 😆
I'm a BIG reader and ❤️ to instill that love in my kids! Because you mentioned books - have you ever done murals for Patricia Polacco or Lois Lowry's works? They both express such amazing messages in their work!! I wish we lived closer together - I'd love to work together!! 😊 💕😊

@christalynd I don't know P. Polacco's work but thanks for alerting me. I love Lois Lowry too. This is the first time a school has hired me to illustrate a book which all the fifth graders have studied this year. It's been a great project. I got great sketches from the kids which I use to create a composite image. Yeah, too bad we don't live closer! I'll let you know when it's done and send you a photo. "Because of Winn Dixie" is her best, I think.

The, if you want to try reducing a price, do it at the Friday night party at 10 pm. Most people buy on the weekends, when they have just gotten paid!

Read comments to see if you can figure out who bought the item. Then go to their closet and share it. That will hopefully steer them to your closet and your great listings.

Or else, read a good book. Catch up on your New Yorker articles. 🤓

Thanks Jesse for such kind words of appreciation-most are just my clothes from years of buying while traveling-Italy France Spain Argentina -or at craft shows in US -most are either too small or I’ve outgrown the style -all are in great condition for sure!! I’m in Providence where it snowed again yesterday, but I’ve been listing some summery things anyway just to get ahead of myself a little. Yes, it has been slower. I’ve been accepting offers, even low ones, just to clear out things which I’ve had for too long. The cycle of selling here still puzzles me. Seasonal transitions are tough, I think.

@pammymb Also, are you sharing your closet 3x per day (to the parties)? You deserve to have more followers. At a certain point, you’ll make sales no matter what, just because so many eyes are on your listings. I spent gobs if time doing that at first, then started easing up. Depends of course on how much time you want to put in to it. Which I have very mixed feelings about! Helps pay the rent on my studio, but I might make more art if I wasn’t doing this too! 🤪

And you’re right, it’s hard to let things go for very little when you know what they’re worth, AND when Posh is taking 20%! But sometimes I feel it’s better to just make room for new stuff. I go thrifting to find things to sell here. Very little comes from my own previously worn things.

@shanabauble Thank you, Valerie. I came by the natural look the hard way: got breast cancer 8 years ago. (Totally recovered. Great care!) Before that, I wanted to go gray, but wasn’t sure how to make the change from coloring it. So when my hair was growing back, I happily quit coloring it. Thank goodness we have women nowadays who are willing to rock the gray!

Sophie, my daughter, just cut her hair super short! It’s a big change, and I think she’s never looked better. So open and present and strong! She has a tiny little scene is 21 BRIDGES with Chadwick Boseman (who she says is a lovely man!). Hopefully the roles will get bigger in time.

Simone’s Sister is my Goddaughter. They were
such a sweet couple. I’ve relived loosing my Angel
Sonya. She was 42 when she died with colon cancer. They were both so young, so vibrant, loved, respected and making such a positive influence in world. They were both too young, and Simone, my heart cry’s for her, loosing the love of her life. It was a blessing that they did experience
the greatest gift of all.❤️🙏🏼
