Hello ladies and gents! My name is Lana and I am 25 years old. I attend Kent State University and I'm in the clinical mental health counseling master's program. I have an amazing fiancé who I can't wait to call my husband in May 2015. My closet needs some work, so in here looking to expand my professional wardrobe.

arely_ruiz You're gorgeous dear! And high five in your commitment to school. That is by far one of the most interesting fields. I work with the public defender's office investigation unit in my County and we see Clients suffering from PTSD and other mental health problems regularly.

breelm Hi there :) Are you originally from Ohio or are you just here for school? I'm an Ohio native but I'm moving to South Carolina soon because I HATE the weather here lol. I love psychology and was originally planning on becoming a counselor, but I switched to nursing instead. Ironically, I don't like psych nursing but I still love psychology lol. That's a great field to be in :) Good luck with everything!!

lalabananas @breelm I am an ohio native. I completely understand about the weather. I'm hoping to move to California or Tennessee when I finish my degree. I'm just the opposite as you. I wanted to do nursing and decided to do pre-med and psychology the last minute. Then I dropped pre-med. I finished the psychology degree and now I'm working on my masters degree for counseling. Lol. So much work!

lalabananas @elisa143 that's really cool that we're in similar fields. Maybe we'll run into each other someday at a conference or just in practice. :) PTSD is really fascinating and I feel like there's a need for treatment for people who suffer from it.

lalabananas @hilleliza I've heard some really good things about Columbus. I thought I might move out that way for school, but I ended up staying put. The cold weather is awful and lake effect snow is the worst! I can't wait to live somewhere that doesn't have snow.
