Nice to meet you on posh's web site. Your closet is beautiful. My name is Ann. I live on East Coast in the smallest state. I have visited your state many times. It is a beautiful place. I visited the national parks & went camping & hiking. I did see many Vegas shows. Have a wonderful day.๐๐๐๐๐

Thanks for reaching out @shadowsgems :) Nice to meet you! The national parks here are great, still getting to know the area but it is so fun here! I have never been to the New England/ East Coast area but I want to! Probably really gorgeous there right now! โ๏ธโ๏ธ

We have something in common besides Poshmark: I love power tools. You have skills, I have destructive enthusiasm! Favorite: my cordless reciprocating saw. Tip: Never take an Ambien and then become inspired to prune shrubs.
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage That is the scariest tool in my repertoire! Never would have thought of it for pruning, can you make elaborate topiaries with that method?
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass No topiaries, but what you can do is creep stealthily across the garden by moonlight, close in on a pitiful ixora hedge that you never liked because it doesn't get enough sun to thrive, but you have never had the heart to kill it because of some misplaced empathy, only now armed with the reciprocating saw that suddenly feels like a weapon, and under the influence of a sleeping pill that you must never ever take without first hiding tools from yourself, you are transformed into The Phantom Pruner! "I'll just cut them back a little to encourage blooms," you lie, and by the time you realize you've probably awakened the neighborhood, the ixoras are stumps. You know what will look great there beneath the live oaks? More ferns.
I miss Miami so much! I haven't made an appearance as The Phantom Pruner since I moved to Atlanta.
Whats it like working on stage sets? Fabulous? What power tools do you use most often?
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage The poor shrubs never saw it coming!!
I love working backstage, knowing all the secrets of how things work together and making it work.
My favorite tool to use is a Mig welder, though more often I use just a basic power drill. Also a good tool, quite versatile. I used that a lot around the house and in crafts- my guilty pleasure.
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass I never thought I'd get to explore this topic on Poshmark, but since you use tools professionally, I have a question. What's a decent power drill strength for serious work (ideally without spending a fortune.) I have a cordless drill-driver that works fine for most purposes around the house, and a corded drill, but even with a new drill bit I haven't been able to make a dent in the attic joists. I want to create a path up there so I can walk across the attic to change the AC filter without balancing on the joists. Bought plywood and deck screws, and the joists just laughed at me and my drill.
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage What voltage are the drills you are using? Are the joists wooden or metal?
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass Wooden joists. Tried self driving wood screws with my 16 volt impact driver, and when that went nowhere I dragged the corded drill up there on a heavy duty extension cord, new drill bit, and also nuthin.
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass Sorry, 18 volts for the cordless driver. I need new reading glasses. The corded drill I'll have to look at later, it's buried at the back of a shelf!
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage Have you tried pre drilling a hole first? Make a pilot hole smaller than your screw to guide it into place.
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass Yes, when I got nowhere with the self drilling deck screws, I did try that. Bought a new bit, even. It was like I was trying to push the bit into the joists!
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage What a conundrum! Only other thing I can think of is one of those silly obvious-after-you-notice-it things of the drill going the right way. Otherwise maybe ask someone at a hardware store, they would know specifics about your tools and materials. I'm sorry I couldn't help ๐ซ
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass Well.... I have been known to forget there's a Reverse button.
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage It happens! I'm curious about this project now, I want to know how it turns out
Feb 22Reply

acertainage
@sassymcsass I don't handle that kind of frustration very well when it's happening in a cramped attic. It's been about three years since I gave up. ๐
Feb 22Reply

sassymcsass
@acertainage Yeah that'd do it! Not a situation that breeds patience.

Hello. You shared my "meet the posher listing" and i did infact not even write it. The info is widely wrong. Im nkt a socail one and do not care for closets. Only specific items that peak my intrest or needs. I dont even know that brand or have a favorite brand. Im not a fashionista. Do you have any idea how this could be possible? Im honestly freaked out and am thinking of deleting my account.
May 11Reply

sassymcsass
@lunaleerunaway Hi there! No need to fret, the app just creates one of those profiles for everyone if they don't provide their own info. You can edit what it says or even erase it if that would make you feel more comfortable :)
