onlyquality4me oh my dear, Poshmark did not notify me of your purchase. I am so sorry. I will ship it out tomorrow! Thank you, you will be so pleased with it. absolutely rare as you are no doubt aware. after mont blanc serviced the pen it has not been written with. I will include the paperwork. alanwinston456 @onlyquality4me thank you for the note. I am really looking forward to getting the beautiful set and accompanying paper work. Please note that because of the value of the set, Poshmark informed me that their policy requires the set to go to them first for it to validated as authentic. Once its authenticity is validated, the set can be shipped to me. I am confused. Can you check with them so that we are all operating under the proper policy. Thanks for your help.

onlyquality4me @alanwinston456 Hi Alan, Yes the set is on its way to Poshmark, as proper protocol is being followed. they will unbox it, authenticate it and ship it to you as you stated. I only wish that I had seen your purchase 3 days prior and I would have shipped it out immediately! typically when there's a sale Poshmark sends an email notifying us. unfortunately in your case they did not but now it is on its way and hopefully they will be quick to forward it on to you.

alanwinston456 @onlyquality4me— the nib on the pen is not as described. It is described as 18k gold when in fact it is 14k, as validated by Poshmark. Disappointing situation. What do you have that indicates the nib is 18k gold. Is the rest of the set actually as described? Is the ink well and base an authentic Monblanc product? Just want to be sure we are all on the same page.

onlyquality4me @alanwinston456 I am going to check into this ASAP everything else of course is authentic. I have very close up photos of the nib, have you looked at them and did you clearly see 18 karat gold? The pen had also been with a vintage pen dealer, no one corrected me on this. back to you shortly. also want to read the letter from Mont Blanc in their description.

alanwinston456 To clarify, Poshmark’s notification to me was a result of their inspection during their authentication process. They reference 18k gold in the product description on the portal not aligning with the nib’s gold content. What is the 18k gold referring to? Clearly Poshmark’s authenticators are referencing that 18k gold description to the tied to the nib. I’m sure there is a logical and simple misunderstanding. Look forward to your response. onlyquality4me @alanwinston456 Hi Alan, I think Poshmark is misidentifying the number on the nib which is not what they should be looking at for the 18-karat gold. That is my interpretation from the photo they sent. I'm assuming they are incorrect.

onlyquality4me @alanwinston456 admittedly I am not an expert nor a collector. this was originally a business gift to my father-in-law in the '70s. I did my research as well as getting a value through the pen dealer. As noted, sent it to Mont Blanc to service the pen. once you see it I believe you will find it to be quite exquisite. All the pieces came from the same set and are original to it. hoping you're very pleased when you receive it.
